We have stayed at this location 5 or 6 times and have written rave reviews.
However, we were not as impressed this time around.
We are Loyalty members and booked on points.

Upon arrival, we were not greeted as Loyalty members.
The water for loyalty members is a welcome perk; however, on this trip there was no water available???
We decided to have a coffee in the dining area, but the decaf was cold and we were told that the regular had been brewed ' a while ago'.
The desk lamp in the room did not work - bad switch??
We usually have had a room with a view to the front of the hotel where we could see our car in the wheelchair parking. This time we looked out to see nothing but a roof - Room 216. We really hope that this was not given to us because we booked on points. That would be sad.
Missed the egg omelettes for breakfast. But the scrambled eggs were passable.
To end on a positive... the staff who do the cleaning are excellent. Our room was spotless with no lingering cleaning odour.
Parker, the friendly lad on maintenance went out of his way to drop by and say hello.
That was very nice of him even though it was the end of his shift.
Sorry for this negative review, but we try to be honest in our assessments.

Read moreWe stayed at this location for a baseball tournament. Fair warning during the summer you will encounter a lot of rambunctious boys so if you're looking for complete peace and quiet, good luck anywhere surrounding the area. This Holiday Inn was clean, affordable, had everything we needed for a one night stay, and the young guy working the front desk was very nice and helpful. The only things that were minor - no bacon offered at the otherwise very good continental breakfast, whisper close toilet seats would be a huge , and there's a night light by the door that you cannot shut off. Otherwise this accommodation was very close to the Bridgeport recreational complex, the pool area was perfect for the boys once the games we're done, and the continental breakfast had a very large variety, not just a donut and toast kind of breakfast. The bed was very comfortable and offered soft and firm pillows, it had an alarm clock with USB ports, the TV offered many channels, the room's temperature is easily controlled, and another nice bonus if you forget anything they have complimentary items such as a toothbrush, as well as permanently fixed shampoo conditioner and soap in the shower. There is also an iron and ironing board, hair dryer in the bathroom, we had a king suite that also offered a couch, a table and chairs, and a kitchenette with a mini fridge, microwave, Keurig, and sink with paper towels...
Read moreThe staff has been incredible! Best I've ever had in any hotel experience, and I've been to quite a few! The man who checked me in was doing his first night by himself and he was rocking it! I have a Tesla and they allowed me to plug it in outside & let me know they plan on putting in chargers during their renovations, which just ensures we will stay here The next time we drive into town also! The ladies serving breakfast were awesome with my kids and breakfast was great! The front desk staff this morning was so accommodating too, finding some disposable ear plugs for my son who has Autism to sleep better. My kids enjoyed the pool & I was excited to see there is also a hot tub in the pool area, was not even expecting that bonus. Plenty clean towels available in the pool area and it was kept very clean, which is rare nowadays in hotel pools. Our room is much larger than I thought and plenty of room for myself and all four kids. Hotel is very easy to find and great location to the interstate, made it convenient for traveling. Plenty of places to eat near by and a water park less than 20 minutes away in Clarksburg. I can't say enough about how great it's been so far! Thank you so much! Keep being awesome! Included a picture of three of my kids fighting over who got to push the...
