Went into the store looking for a workbench table. Found the one I wanted. The price tag says 329.99 in 2 different places. I ask the lady working the area if that price was correct she said it showing up In The system at 379.99. She said we will match this but has to call the dept manager. He comes over and says absolutely not that is too much of a discount. I ask why it’s in 2 different spots he says he doesn’t know and agrees it is definitely priced at 329.00. I said well since it’s wrong don’t you have to match the price. He tells me absolutely not and basically have a good day. I asked can I get a discount t of some sort since you have it priced wrong and he says nope. So I didn’t argue and just left to go check out. He comes running after me to show me the price on the website saying he is right. Again I was just looking for customer service. I will buy a table from another big box store no issue just makes me want to check all the pricing as I figure other customers have been scammed. 3 big box sores all close together and I will just do my shopping elsewhere. I simple 5 or 10 percent discount and I would have bought it. Just be careful and make sure the pricing comes up correctly when checking out. Also this was not the rebate price this was the...
Read moreMenards spent a LOT of capital to build-out their stores, but their entire business model is fundamentally-flawed in my opinion. No, I don't and won't shop there. Here's why, and no "store management" can fix this. It's corporate, and it must be sponsored at the CEO level.
Problem 1: the rebate system is flawed. It should be electronic, not via USPS. Theft opportunities abound for the mailed "certificates." I also WON'T wait 6-8 weeks for my "rebate."
Problem 2: there is no way to rate products sold at Menards. While I'm a building pro, I also like to see consumer opinions about products. 2 and 3 star ratings? PASS! 4-5 star ratings? Okay, maybe good. However, I've run into some low volt lighting solutions which are total CRAP and they've done nothing but make me re-do multiple jobs multiple times. "Patriot" is a Menard's brand. THEY CAN KEEP IT!
Problem 3: Too big. Simple.
I stick to Home Depot and Lowes for my pro purchases. Menards gets none of my business any more. Good luck there, and don't bother replying to my post here. I won't care! But others might just care about...
Read moreAfter being a long time customer, I have found this store to have very poor customer service. The cabinet department is poor. After nearly three months and multiple trips several modifications I was able to begin counter installation. The sink hole did not fit and there was no hole for a faucet. The store solution was to order another one. Wait three more weeks and hope it works. Store management Andrew, Amanda and Ralf commented that I had approved the template and if I could file a complaint with corporate. Jaden the person whom I worked with had selective memory loss, as we ordered the sink at the same time as the counters were approved. I would suggest the next time anyone wants to purchase a $15,000 plus dollar kitchen package they...
