I have eaten at Miskycha twice, and also had takeout an additional time. The food has been great, every time. For the two times I dined in, the service was excellent, as well. Everyone at this restaurant was so friendly! We were welcomed in and thanked, by multiple people, when we entered and prior to leaving.
The waitresses I had were great, on both occasions. They were very personable, and did a good job of describing the items to those of us who had never had Peruvian food. Even though they had a smaller staff, they were very attentive.
Everything was fresh-cooked, flavorful, and tasted wonderful. There is a nice variety of appetizers, sides, and meals – many which you cannot get elsewhere, without a long drive.
For the negative, the portion sizes may be a little small, for the money, around here. I would personally rather pay a little more for high quality, fresh-cooked food, but others may feel differently. Also, some drinks do not come with refills (e.g. the tea was a bottle of tea, that didn’t have refills).
The facility was clean, well-lit, and had ample parking. The bathroom was one of the cleanest I’ve seen, at a restaurant.
I will definitely be returning to Miskycha, for the great food...
Read moreIt's really too bad. I wanted to like this place. I even waited patiently (for over half an hour) while my Peruvian Pork Sandwich was being made. Honestly, it wasn't like they were busy. There was one couple ahead of me when I made my order and they had to wait an awfully long time for all of their order as well. However, with a "Help Wanted" sign clearly visible, and one lonely worker trying to take orders and make orders, it was obvious early on that the food was going to take a long time. The problem is, it took WAY longer than I even imagined it could. Especially when the pork was so over cooked and dry it was chewy. I'll probably never eat here again. It was just not worth it. If I want to try Peruvian food... I'll find a recipe online and try my hand at making it myself.
Update: I tried this again. This time someone else went to get the food... they still had to wait too long. However, this time, the food was indeed...
Read moreI wanted to have some Latin food for my birthday and try something new. So we googled “Latin Food” and this restaurant popped up. We live about 15 mins away from restaurant. Being from Puerto Rico I was hesitant at first because it it a Peruvian restaurant. So we (party of 5) ventured out and we were not disappointed. Although we were the only ones at the restaurant (it was about 1:00) the atmosphere was relaxing yet fun and upbeat. Entering the restaurant we were welcomed with hi’s and hello’s by the employees (and owner). Felt like family! Loved the authentic food. The waiter was knowledgeable of the menus and recommended items for us to try. Food was seasoned to our liking. Serving size were just enough (we actually had to go boxes) Restaurant was very clean. Waiter was not overbearing but checked on us at appropriate times. Food was priced well. Definitely will...
