I work for a construction company in Bridgeport, WV. We typically use Lowes pro services and other small local suppliers to source our job materials. However, recently with supply shortages we have been giving Home Depot a chance to be one of our suppliers. We set up a Pro-extra account, and have been completing small order to see how we like your services. We typically do a few hundred thousand a year in materials. After my experience today (12/21/21), I doubt we will be using your pro-extra services at any longer. I was checking out today with a small number of items and was unfamiliar with your process since I am used to checking out at Lowes. When I approached the counter, the pro associate just looked at me and didnât say a word. There were a few items on his counter that he was processing, but he moved them, so I put my items on the counter. He continued to do compete his task and would not make eye contact with me nor did he let me know that he was already working with another client. There was no one else at the counter, so I just assumed he was doing inventory or something of that nature. After a few minutes I realized a customer had come up behind me and the associate began speaking with him about his order. I said to the associate that I didnât realize that he was working with someone else, and he continued to ignore me. I realized the other customer and another associate was looking at me. I had no idea your associate was working with someone else when I arrived at the counter at the first place. He didnât to me at any point that he was working with another client, and just treated me as if I werenât even there. So, I grabbed my stuff and went to another counter to check out. Again, at not point did he acknowledge me while I was grabbing my stuff. I donât mind waiting my turn. Weâre a family business and are down to earth people. However, I was furious that your pro-extra associate at no point let me know that he was already working with another client. If I had known, I would have waited my turn quietly. I only went to the pro-extra desk, so I could get our discount. I didnât realize that I would enter the number at any check-out. This was an embarrassing and frustrating experience for me. If this is how your pro-services associates treat customers then I doubt we will be using your services unless forced...
Read moreUPDATE 3-27-25 I upped my rating to 5 stars since (still low on staff to help) once you get the right people like the gal in paint I wish I wouldâve got her name, but she was awesome even pointed out a miss tint she just got back cost $10 for 1 gallon. What a deal for a special color and showed us the other paints and helped us pick out another gallon as well. And included the sticks and the opener for the paint cans which normally they donât even offer you she was very professional!! we saved loads of money đ€© then Dana in flooring..what an awesome worker she is very professional and so helpful to make sure that you get the right product for installation, if not for her, we would have got the wrong product for the laundry area. You need something that is totally waterproof and she pointed that outđ and since it was so close to closing, she told us when we come back she would be more than willing to help us find our quarter round and matching stepped downs that match our flooring, etc. she really knows her stuff!! She also helped us get our products up to the register ASAP and have someone there ready to load in our vehicle
He was great absolutely awesome. Kudos to Collin for his loading expertise and professionalism!
3-19-24 ..Previous no picks from this trip since wasnât available, it I would give them a 5 but they were totally out of roofing nails??? the guy said that they were on special since they were changing brands.. so they sold out of them and I thought to myself; Why would the manager allow that to happen without having the new brands of nails there? I mean they were totally out of roofing nails. I had to leave and go somewhere else to get them.. I like HD however I wish that the staff were much more helpful.. like the other day I asked where something was and the guy barely told me and walked away right towards the item I was looking for.. he could have shown me since he went right past the aisle but No left me high and dry? They need to get it together for Cust. Service.. Because their competitor (no names)are all over their store asking if I find everything I am looking for and takes me directly to items and compares them with me
I hope management does look at these reviews and makes changes otherwise I will be going to their...
Read moreWe will never purchase appliances from Home Depot again. We bought a whole kitchen back in the middle of November. We are building a house and bought these appliances totaling more than $4000, in what we thought was plenty of time to have them when we need them. We put an estimated date of Jan 28th but was told to just call if we need them sooner. Our current house went under contract and will close Feb 2nd. I called Home Depot online dept 2 weeks ago and was told to just give them a 72 hour window time period to have our appliances released. We now want them as our cabinets are in and we are moving the last weekend of this month. We are now told our double wall oven is out of stock. Two weeks ago, everything was in. Remember we were told just to give them a 72 hour window..... We are told Jan 28 is del date and cannot be changed. We asked to at least have the cooktop and dishwasher released so our granite guy can have them to accurately measure for the granite. They said no, it all has to be released at one time. We are being told its up to the manufacturers such as Maytag/Whirlpool as to when the appliances come in... Home Depot is more or less the middle man. We have spoken with the appliance dept manager, the assistant store mgr ( why did not follow up and have the courtesy to call us back ) and the attitude of just about everyone in that store is they do not care about the customer. Its not their fault, its the manufacturer...that is the attitude the store has. We have spent up to at least $8000 in that store with ceramic tile, vessel sinks, fawcetts, odds and ends plus the 5 appliances. If we would have known this, we would have spent an extra $200-300 more and went to Lowes. They have had our money since November and we can't get our appliances. They were in stock when we ordered them now one item out of stock. Basically, they sell your stuff if someone comes in and orders something and can use it right away. Totally terrible customer service. We went and bought off of HOME DEPOT , WE DID NOT GO TO A WHILRPOOL/MAYTAG STORE. So it is not our problem why our merchandise is not being released to home depot....that is their problem. We just want...
