Mediterranean Food Market has become my go-to place for all things Turkish. As someone whoâs Turkish, being able to walk into a store and find the products I grew up with means so much.
They have everything I need â from pantry staples to fresh produce. The vegetables are always crisp and fresh, and you can tell they take pride in what they bring in. One of the things I look forward to most is their homemade çiÄ köfte. Iâm usually very picky about it, but theirs is made with so much care and flavor that itâs quickly become my favorite. Their olives are also incredible â I never leave the store without picking some up.
What makes this market even more special is the family who owns it. Theyâre so warm, welcoming, and kind that stepping inside feels less like running errands and more like visiting friends. They really make you feel at home, something you donât often find in a store.
The store is always very clean and organized, which makes shopping there even better. I always leave with fresh food, good memories, and a sense of comfort that keeps me coming back. I highly recommend...
Read moreThis was my first experience shopping here and I was very impressed with the owner's overall demeanor and story as I couldnt help ask many questions about how he obtained this great place and really yummy inventory of Turkish and Iranian food products (Say Hi, to Claus, very informative above and beyond personable). If you have a craving for delicious breads, cheeses, jams, chocolates, pastries, olives (in huge quantity for an amazing price), teas, or need a beautiful gift of copper tea kettles or handpainted plate from Turkey this is truly a gem of a place to go. I bought Lebneh a rich creamy yogurt to pair with a honey filled with all kinds of nuts. I also bought Turkish Cotton Candy....Claus had a different name for it and I can't remember how to spell it phonetically, it's just etheral as is, or Claus says it's good on ice cream! Also purchased quince and rose jelly great on bread with butter or to pair with cheese....so please check this place out and please review your...
Read moreA must go place place for gourmets.... They have really unique and high quality food. I was able to find all the Mediterranean food that I starve for in the US. Plus they have excellent fresh bakery including really baklava. The baklava was so tasty that it made me feel like I was in Gaziantep, which is the capital of baklava in Turkey. They have also recently added a few ceramic products which I admire. Really beautiful handmade items. I am thinking about getting them as a gift for Christmas. Prices are very reasonable when I compare them to other similar markets. The owners are lovely and very friendly. They have helped me several times for specific products and requests. I will be making all of my Mediterranean and European shopping from here....
