The one on Farmington Ave in Bristol is awful!!! They are So rude. When asked about medication back log I received answers like “ I have no idea’. I’m not talking about about a chocolate bar. I’m talking about medication. It’s kind of important that they have an idea., or look into, but it appears they are too bothered to do that aka their job! And the pharmacist that is there during the week in the mornings ( he has an Indian accent, I believe) is so rude, has absolutely no compassion, is so unprofessional. He is definitely in the wrong business. CVS is just another greedy corporation sadly and I don’t think they care who they hire because the service is just the worst They are constantly giving out wrong information wrong prices it’s reallyawful!!
Update Still the worst pharmacy I’ve ever dealt with in my entire life. Requested a refill for the blood pressure medicine five days prior and heard nothing. In the meantime I ran out on the next day that I called it in. I left two voicemail messages over two days with a promise to be text or call back and absolutely nothing. so I called and was told by a woman which I wish I got her name. However, she told me they were doing the best they can. I was so thrown off by this comment. I think I said something to the effect like I’m not ordering a pizza here this is it’s only my heart medication That you do the best you can. She proceeded to tell me I didn’t have to be nasty. I said I wasn’t being nasty but that they were. I don’t think I use the word incompetent but something to that affect and she proceeded to hang up on me. When I called back and asked to speak to the pharmacy manager, I got , Mark. Mark told me he was the pharmacy manager. I know who Mark is because I’ve been at this store before and he proceeded to disrespect me. Tell me how understaffed they were. They were trying their best and then I needed to not be nasty and not swear at people I never ever said a swear to this woman or to him , which she claimed so that was an outright lie. And on the note of respect that is earned, I do not need to respect them. I need to pay them for my prescriptions do our business and be done. . This unprofessional obviously unexperienced person by the name of Mark kept repeating are you telling me that you don’t respect us and I said I don’t need to respect you. I need my medication. He kept insisting he needed an answer whether to I respected him and at this point there was absolutely no way I could say anything but no, I do not have any respect for the people I’ve spoken to today or obviously CVS in general because there’s so many issues with their voicemail. The fact you can’t speak to a pharmacist the fact that these people who answer the phone so unbelievably unethical unprofessional shock me so when I said no, he too hung up on me. I have called the corporate headquarters and filed the complaint. I am not letting this go , I am beyond shocked and truly believe this is included in the definition of medical malpractice, even if they are just pharmacy, technicians and pharmacist or doctors they need to be held accountable ! It’s just so unbelievable to me. And CVS is laying off people. This cannot get any worse, but I can’t imagine...
Read moreI don’t recommend this pharmacy at all. It happened twice that this pharmacy refilled an old order for my 7 year old sons prescription, and because they mistakenly filled an old order we would run out of medication too soon, and the refill wouldn’t run through with the insurance because of their mistake it would state “too soon to refill,” and insurance then had to “re-authorize” for approval which takes days for them to do. I was with this pharmacy for over 3 years. But they made this mistake TWICE in the last 6 months on my child’s medication, and it’s a god awful careless mistake that could really screw someone sideways. I brushed it off the first time as human error, but I won’t ever do that again. All they had to do was look at the dates on the order to know which one was the most recent and up to date... That’s all they had to do. Or worst case scenario? Call me, and ask? Instead of playing guessing games? But because they didn’t they played games with my child’s medication that he needs to function through daily life. It caused my son to have to go without a necessary medication for a few days which was totally unfair to him. If it wasn’t for my child’s doctor and clinical care coordinator with the hospital for special care calling them to get on top of them over it? It probably would’ve been even longer. They didn’t care about fixing the mistake at all. It was so disheartening and bottom line disgusting. The pharmacy even acknowledged that they were the ones who screwed up by refilling an old order and they refused to give a couple to few days worth of pills for him while waiting for the re-authorization. After I’ve been a faithful customer for 3 years, and that authorization has gone through in the past, you’re not going to even attempt to fix your own mistake? The authorization went through after a few days like I told them it would, and I immediately had my sons prescriptions transferred to a better pharmacy less than a mile away that wouldn’t make such a careless mistake, not once but twice. Moral of the story... Don’t use this CVS pharmacy. I don’t know if every cvs is like this, I don’t think it is, I hope not. But just know they won’t care when you have a little kid withdrawing off of medication that poses risk for hospitalization because of their incompetence to read doctors orders correctly. My suggestion to this pharmacy or anyone who works specifically in the pharmacy? Don’t work in the pharmaceutical industry if you don’t understand the dangers behind withdrawals on psychiatric medications and the risks it could pose to a 7...
Read moreReally want to leave a positive review that I hope gets back to management here about Michael that was working the overnight shift Saturday, July 13th. I went in after midnight, looked around for some skincare products, picked out stuff according to the Extra care discount offer, buy one get one at 50% off..anyway, I get to the self check out, and I’m attempting to put in my phone number to use my extra care card and the system kept saying my phone number wasn’t recognized. Michael said I could come to the register and he would try to type in my phone number there to see if it would come it. It didn’t. He then tried to help me open an extra care card, and that also didn’t work. The extra care card system was just down. Michael then said he could still be able to enter in my items at the extra care discount price. He was so very helpful and polite during this process and I just hope he’s recognized for his above and beyond helpfulness and consideration for me in this situation! He could have said “oh just come back tomorrow and try it.” But he went and got the scanner to make sure the things rang out as the extra care discount price and I really really appreciate that he did that for me. That’s literal extra care! :)...
