Mike Roia came to our house to install a dishwasher that we had purchased from Gil's. The minute he walked in he could tell at a glance whether the machine would fit in the door. This first impression of Mike's expertise was born out for the rest of the day and beyond, as he made adjustments necessary to fit the machine with our plumbing and install a new line, as well as identifying where our previous machine had been leaking. Further, we had a panel that we wanted to put on the front of the machine, but I had not bought a panel ready machine. After looking at the machine, Mike came up with a plan for installing the panel on the machine that we had. He came back on a separate call and installed it, and it looks and works great. Beware, NOT the same Roia. Have used Roia several times over the past 4 years with good results. This time was TERRIBLE. Quoted about $2k to fix a microwave, wine fridge, and another beverage cooler. Communication was terrible - average response time to call or email was 4 weeks. Claimed they couldn't find the parts or wiring diagram - in a 5 minute phone call to Marvel I had the parts ordered, and the diagram was on the back of the unit (that they'd pulled out). Didn't put anything back properly, and left the microwave in a position that we nearly broke the door trying to get it open. Over 4 months of delays and no communication. Do not use this company! Horrible experience from Roia and in reading the reviews, looks like others have had a similar experience. I paid for a service visit and was told certain parts were being ordered and a subsequent visit took place where the technician informed me the cooler was now all set. Come to find out none of the work had been completed. Poor communication and poor quality work. Literally had to call 8-10 times w/multiple messages left before I finally talked to someone who said I'd be receiving a refund which now weeks later still has not...
