Casual Inn — Restaurant in Bristol

Went for the first time in a very long time on NYE..our reservation was for 3 people at 7pm..we we're greeted and seated promptly although in the bar area when there was lots of room in the dining room. Our waitress was kind and pleasant but we felt neglected because the kitchen was overwhelmed. The restaurant didn't seem prepared for a busy night..I blame management! The hostess was turning away walk inside even though there were empty tables.

We ordered a app of calamari right away. It took more than 45 minutes for the app. We thought our meals were going to come before the app did. Finally, the app was served. During this time, our glasses were dry and it seemed like they only had one waitress. Poor planning by management.

Our waitress then came over to inform us that at 7:30 on a big holiday, they ran out of mashed potatoes. We eat out daily..we've never been to a restaurant that ran out of mashed! Finally, our meals were served. My husband ordered two lobster plates and they were served without butter.

Just a very disappointing dinner on big celebratory night.. definitely will go elsewhere in the future. Sorry Casual Inn.. your attention to detail is just too...

OK, so, let's start with we have been here before was really good. We had seafood and zero complaints. It's been about 6 years since then, we decided to try a special. Delmonico Steak with carrots, one with fries the other roasted potatoes. I had the roasted potatoes they tasted like FISH, the steaks were 90% fat and they were 34.50 a plate. Super disappointed I sent them both back way too much fat and they were raw to medium rather than medium to well. I felt bad for the waitress but it had to go back, and, we won't be back either. Too bad...

We walk in to a nearly empty restaurant only to stand in front of the door for almost 10 before we were even acknowledged. Then we were asked if we had a reservation. I said no and after I was given a lecture on how i should have had a reservation, I was told it was going to be a 20 minute wait. A 20 minute wait just to be seated in a dining room that was 85% empty. She brings out one piece of bread for two people, the food was mediocre at best, and the dining room hasn't been dusted since the Regan era. Nothing like it was years ago....
