WorthWhile Reads — Local services in Bristol

Update: February 2024: I’m slightly addicted to coming to these book sales! Erik is so kind and I’m happy to see how well these book sales are going for him. The key to not having it too crowded is to come later in the day. My husband and I have been back several times since our first trip and really enjoy finding some great books!

Although it am an avid reader on my Kindle, I love a good book sale and love supporting local businesses. I came across this “bookstore” today (great timing as they were open today!) online when searching for holiday events going on this weekend. My husband joined me and I was shocked at the amount of people there. My only wish is that there was more space in the aisles to move around people without having to constantly excuse myself to get by. (I hate interrupting people as they are book browsing!). Otherwise, it was great…the books are in fantastic condition, the prices are excellent, the people working there were so friendly. I was able to pick up a couple of books for my pre-k classroom where I teach, as well as get a couple of things for myself and a gift for a friend for Christmas. Unfortunately, my husband was a bit overwhelmed by the lack of space and amount of people so he stepped out. I will definitely be back but would love to have that extra space. My family loves going to WorthWhile reads for their book sales! Erik and the rest of the staff are always very friendly and helpful. There are a ton of used books and even some new books as well! My favorite feature is being able to add items to my online wishlist and be notified if they get the book in! There is a special wishlist shelf that holds the Wishlist books during the sale. We became a member and love going once or twice a month depending on when the sales are. We always snag some good books at good prices. I just want to say that this is an awesome bookstore and Erik is so nice! I have mobility issues and it’s hard for me to walk around a lot; I was looking for a particular author, and they informed me that they had a book by her, but it was at the bookstore that was way at the end of the hall.. I was really in a lot of pain so I said I’ll get it another time and I left and Erik came out and said we’ll get the book for you , you just sit in the car and relax while we find it. I was astounded you can’t get any nicer than that....
