The Wizards Duel — Local services in Brockton

I recently decided to get back into physical gaming and I've been frequenting The Wizard's Duel for a few months now, and I’m so glad to have found such an amazing TCG and TTRPG center. This shop has become my go-to destination for gaming essentials—whether it’s dice, towers, deck boxes, playmats, sleeves, guidebooks, or other accessories. The selection is great, and the prices are fantastic! I’ve visited quite a few TCG centers during my travels, and in my opinion, this one is the best when it comes to both variety and pricing. When I need to buy anything TCG or TTRPG related, I stop here first. (BTW, I don't shop online, I'm a brick and mortar shopper.)

The staff here are exceptional—welcoming, knowledgeable, and always eager to help. I often come in with lots of random "dumb" questions about different games and products, and they never fail to provide clear, thoughtful, and helpful answers.

The center’s atmosphere is another major highlight. They regularly host events and game nights, which are perfect for meeting other enthusiasts. I’ve met quite a few cool people who share my interests here, and it’s always a great experience.

The shop itself is clean, stocked, organized, well lit, and smells decent. Although, I have come in during the heat of an ongoing packed tournament and yes, you may catch a stray whiff of an unshowered gamer or two, but it's not the shops fault, it's the person who decided not to shower before they left the house.

All in all, if you’re into TCGs or TTRPGs, The Wizard's Duel is a must-visit. Great selection, fantastic pricing, awesome staff, energized atmosphere during tournaments, and cool players. I...

So my special needs son Cooper who loves ALL THINGS YuGiOh, Pokemon, MTG, etc. visited on Wednesday and had the best experience ever in that Cooper for the first time was welcome to sit down and join a live YuGiOh tournament that was happening for the FIRST.TIME.EVER. The group that was there welcomed him with so much patience and kindness even though if the truth be told, his presence disrupted their professional play at the time. Cooper, although an avid YuGiOh collector, has not perfected how to actually play the game and everyone went out of their way to help him create a playable deck and guide him and teach him while he was paired with an actual opponent for three different timed games/matches for the duration of the tournament. The Wizards Duel truly fulfilled his dreams and made us feel like he was welcome back any time. Special shout outs go to John as the owner and/or manager and the special individuals who went out of their way to help Cooper physically partake in the game even though it meant sacrificing their professional play at the time (William/Will, Bennett/Ben, Pierre/Perri/Tom/Michael to name a few). I’m sorry if I forgot anyone. Overall we had an amazing day and Cooper hasn’t stopped talking about it. Thank you to EVERYONE. We can’t wait...

Immediately entering the store I first noticed the size, a bit small and cramped, yet definitely appeared to make the best of what was given. My ears then caught onto some heavy metal playing out of an overhead speaker somewhere. Soon enough I approached the register where I was greeted with a nice enough younger gentleman who was happy to answer a handfull of questions I had about the store itself and how it operated. Being no stranger to trading card games conversation went smooth and I was getting a decent feel for the place. Midway through the conversation an older gentleman interjected giving a rude response to a very basic and legitimate question I had asked. He then continued to have a condescending attitude about any other questions until I finally made it clear I was purchasing a few items in which is demeanor was suddenly pleasent and he was calling me "friend". Overall I was shooken the wrong way and got a dishonest and bad feeling about the store overall due to this interaction. Prices seem fair, stock is minimal and from what it appears the potential "free tournament" idea seems really fun and a good idea! Yet none the less I really don't see...
