Eating here just feels off overall. You walk in, and you’re seated in this questionably dark restaurant — it’s like entering a cave. They ask for your drinks, bring them to you shortly after, and you come to find out that half the time, the drinks have an odd fountain taste to them. Not pleasant whatsoever, I only asked for my drinks in bottles from that point on.
The servers don’t even bother to mention that once you’re seated you’re free to go grab your food from the buffet, so you’re left to figure that out on your own if it’s your first time. Half the food on the cards are spelled incorrectly, and some of the food presentation is just sub-par. The prime rib they serve sits in some sort of oily liquid, which is a huge red flag for me. Even the pizza looks slimy.
All the food options, besides the dessert, always leave me with an upset stomach. It confuses me because I genuinely did used to enjoy the food from this place, but now there’s something extremely off. It makes me concerned on the overall hygiene of the kitchen. Hell, even the plain white rice just tastes bland and offsetting. The place is so damn dark you can’t even see what you’re eating — it’s like they don’t want you to see what’s on your plate.
Finally, the service is just not great. Someone sits you down, then your server literally notes down your drinks, pours them in a fountain, and puts them on your table. Then while I’m trying to leave, they’re literally pestering me about leaving a tip. First off, it’s extremely rude for a server to ask for a tip. Second off, all they did was give me my drinks, nothing more. The plates were taken off my table by someone completely different. And then I’m expected to pay up $53 for me and my S.O. for this “experience”.
Needless to say, I will not...
Read moreWe celebrated our son-in-laws birthday in this place last Aug. 6, 2016 with 25 people. We were brought into a room so we can all seat together. The room is so dark and later we found out that the AC is not working. We were all sweating while eating, asked the manager to turn on the AC but did not do anything. Some of the guests went out to get some air and relieve of the heat. The food is ok, but not too much to select at the time. Their sushi is so bland and no choice at all. The server was nice and she helped cut the cake for my son-in-laws birthday. When the bill came, I noticed that there was an automatic charge of 20 percent for a tip. I did not like the idea of putting it automatically on the check. I went to the front and confront the owner/manager that it is against the law, plus the place is buffet style so I don't think 20 percent is appropriate. He was so defensive that he said there were a lot of us and it is the same as a regular restaurant. But what I told him is to give the customers a chance to give what they think the servers deserved. He was not convinced on what I said so I told him that I will report his management style to the State Business Bureau. I do not like this Chinese Buffet at all, the place is so dark and the servers does not understand english. Too bad, our first time to eat and this is propbably the last time I will visit. Bad management and the owner abuse the system, automatically adding the tip and those customers who does not understand it, they probably ended up paying for the service that is not...
Read moreI don’t even want to give this place a star. Half a star. First off : the place is really dark. Like sketchy dark back ally way vibe. The young girl at the front desk is rude. When she took us to our table, she didn’t politely ask my FIL to hold on to the buffet ticket. She nugged him hard with the back of her hands. The food quality is terrible. Nothing was palatable besides their miso soup. Which is probably prep packaged powder soup, they had to mix with hot water and chunks of tofu. That’s what you’re getting for almost $12 per person. The food selection was skimpy. The sushi was nasty & thrown together. The wasabi was gross, no zing to it & the guy who I’m guessing does make the sushi, looked annoyed at me for coming up to get sushi in the first place! When I asked him where was the soy sauce, he shooed me away! Rude! The fresh fruit was not so fresh, they chopped it very thin, and it was limp. No crunch. The crawfish is nasty bitter. Don’t eat it! When my family was done eating, we waved and looked around for a server to gather our bill. They were all hiding in the side nook where they get us our drinks, playing on their phones. It wasn’t until another group of people who came in and the girl at the front desk brought them to a table next to us was when I could get her attention for our bill.
All in all, if you’re asking for horrible service and leaving hungry while paying, come to this place. It will surely...
