As a former employee of the previous theatre (MovieStar Cinema), it’s nice to see this theatre up and running again. With that being said, I remember how rundown and out of date the previous cinema was.
I was pleasantly surprised with pricing for concessions and tickets, and the addition of reclining seats to each auditorium. The entire theatre has a new, fresh coat of paint and New Orleans style graphics throughout, which give it a unique feel overall.
Unfortunately, with all of those pluses being said, there are still some nitpicks the theatre will need to address. As an audio/video junkie, there was much to be desired in terms of sound and visuals. The screen sizes are the same as before, (some being tremendously small) and the auditorium I was in (#4) had a tear/rip in the middle of the screen which was distracting. No overhead speakers for full surround and projectors appeared to display 1080p compared to 4K at competing theatres.
Overall it is a convenient location for a movie, has great prices, and is an upgrade over the previous version, but it lacks big sound, visuals, and quality that competing theaters...
Read moreLast week my family came to see Elemental, we were assigned theater 4 but when we purchased tickets we were told theater 3. After being seated I went back and confirmed theater 3 and was told it was just wrong number on the ticket. After 30 minutes of watching 35 minutes of what I assumed were previews a lady came in and asked everyone there to see Elemental needed to move to theater 2 because this was a different movie!! Around 8 other people were also sent to this theater for Elemental had to move as well. Fast forward to tonight and I go to see Sound of Freedom and we were sent to theater 2, after 10 minutes of everyone sitting in darkness I went out and asked if the movie would start soon and was told it wouldfter a couple of minutes it finally started only to play 10 minures before AGAIN the lights came on and we were all asked to move to theater 3!! I have loved this theater since it reopened but this is ridiculous. I don't want to play theater roulette everytime I go there. I'm going back...

Since I was meeting my retired veteran friend at the Apple Barrel… my favorite restaurant in the Tulsa area… and it’s in the same building as this theater, I pulled up by the theater and saw someone cleaning the windows so I approached them with some questions. It turned out to be the owner of the shopping center and he gave me a tour of the movie theater.
I fell in love with it immediately… it is such a cool little theater with a lot of small business charm!
The interior and all of the auditoriums replicate New Orleans. They even have an auditorium for drinks, lounging, and just hanging out before or after movies. They serve food and drinks and have tables in all auditoriums.
The auditoriums are on the smaller side so I’d recommend getting advance tickets on...
