Apple Barrel Cafe Broken Arrow — Restaurant in Broken Arrow

Used to be my family’s favorite restaurant. Service started going real bad about a year and half ago and we stopped being regulars. We would go occasionally but service never improved. Wife recently went there with a group of friends and said it was terrific. So today I go there for breakfast. Get seated at table waitress asks me what I would like to drink and what would I like to order. I asked for a menu first, I ordered breakfast with ham slice and sausage patties eggs over easy. Owner brought out plate and rapidly left. Eggs were over hard, no hashbrowns I had to get up and go to him and inquire if they did come with hashbrowns he agreed they did and said he would bring me some. A few minutes later he set hashbrowns down, But left before I could ask for butter. I again had to get up and go to kitchen after trying to get a waitress’s attention for several minutes. As I was putting butter on hashbrowns I noticed my sausages were links instead of patties. I didn’t care as I was hungry, butter wasn’t melting on hashbrowns so I cut up everything and mixed it all together. The ham, sausage,egg and hashbrowns butter would still not melt. So I tasted it food including eggs were room temperature toast was hotter then food. At that time waitress finally checked on me and ask if I was happy with how everything turned out . I said no and pointed out issues including the slabs of unmelted butter. As she offered to replace it but advised me that they were real busy. I said no just give me my check so I can go elsewhere to eat. I will not be back for a while and then if and only if there parking lot is empty. I have eaten at this location before and always had a good experience but this time , it was totally different. I took my family here for my Mother's birthday dinner, we arrive and wait approximately 5 minutes to be seated - no problem. We order our drinks , the waitress returns with all 4 drinks in to-go cups , stating that "all of our glasses were dirty". A little odd , but I could have have accepted that if the rest of our meal had been up to par - IT WAS NOT. We order our meals - 2 sandwich/fries meals for my wife and my brother, and 2 Steak dinners with salads . AND WE WAIT.........Finally about 30 minutes later , the waitress brings out our meals and asks " do we need anything else? " to which I reply " aren't we supposed to have gotten salads?" , the waitress answered " yes , let me get those for you, and would you like some A1 or Heinz57 for your steak? " to which I answered " some A1 will be fine." SHE NEVER EVEN APOLOGIZED for totally FOGETTING our salads , about 5 minutes go by and she finally brings the salads. I NEVER DID GET THE A1 steak sauce , and by that time , I was so upset with the quality of service that we had received, I didn't even care - I kept my cool and did not make a scene - not wanting to ruin my Mom's birthday lunch but I WILL NEVER EAT AT THE APPLE BARREL in Broken Arrow again -NEVER! It wouldn't have been so frustrating if she had at least said she was sorry or apologized in some way , but no , she acted as if everything was fine.........Never again Wonder Woman ( what she was dressed as...

So I have a cold and wife ordered from BA Apple Barrel tonight, for the family.

Nutella crepes for the kid, no strawberries.

NUTELLA CREPES Two delicious crepes filled with Nutella and your choice of fresh bananas or strawberries $9.99

Catfish dinner for her, no side soup, no tartar sauce. No tartar sauce. Really? Baked potato with nothing. Absolutely plain. Not even on the side.

Who likes no tartar sauce when ordering catfish? Who likes a plain Jane baked potato.

Per the menu: CATFISH Catfish fillets fried or grilled and served with tartar sauce, hush puppies and side salad $13.99

Wife said she used to work in a restaurant in high school and their sign in the kitchen is, would you want it served like that?

We usually order from Bixby but DoorDash was only allowing breakfast options tonight from there. Next time sick or not. Driving to Bixby because BA had one job and absolutely disappointed. Well more than one and missed several key points.

What do you think a professional would review that kind of service. Be honest BA Apple Barrel.

We were offered a $7 credit. Pretty offended considering all the key steps completely missed. I'm sure the ticket for two entrees and crepes exceeded $40. That's about a 17% credit not including the tip and DoorDash fee.

(Chicken Fried Chicken at Bixby is twice the size of what we received tonight).
