I had the most rudest customer service experience ever! I went in for a polish change but figured I should get a pedicure. I was greeted and lead back, the water was adjusted perfectly, I stated I would like to soak a bit before starting. She said if someone comes in they would have to start. I said ok. I realized they filled the tub with water but nothing else. Another woman that I didnāt have previous contact with approached me without a greeting from the back and repeated what was already said, once again I said ok. She turned the water off, I said no solution was put into my water. She stated they donāt put anything in the water. I was perplexed and mentioned to someone on the phone that I never had a pedicure without any solution in the water. The lady that came from the back stated āDonāt complain in my shopā I was confused as I was not speaking to her and was just stating my previous experiences to someone on my phone which she obviously saw as the phone was up to my ear. She proceeded to say things I couldnāt make out as she walked out of ear view. I said āI was not complaining nor was I speaking to youā, āI donāt have to spend my money where people are rudeā She comes over to me lifts the arm of the chair and then lifted my bag which was sitting next to me in the seat, I stated ādonāt touch my bagā. She said she didnāt touch my bag as she lifted it off the seat. I have never been treated like this in an establishment and was highly disappointed as this was my second time here and was attempting to make this my regular salon given Iām new to the area. I opted to dry my feet and leave bc no telling what what type of treatment I would have received moving forward. Ruined my day and expected relaxing experience/ escape from my little one.
Update: Even after a poor review the person who was rude who appears to be the owner failed to take responsibility for her actions and deemed she was rude bc I was rude. Also, from other reviews this rude behavior is Common for her. She also stated I was refused service which did not occur and I said āI donāt knowā rudely when asked how long did I want to soak. When did saying I donāt know become a rude response when you are unsure? Also, stated I disturbed customers by being loud which is again not a true statement, as I was on a business call from the moment I walked in and being discreet for that reason. It was only 4 customers in the whole establishment and the one in the pedicure area directly across from me exchanged pleasantries with me and smiled and chatted prior to this incident. Itās sad that an apology couldnāt be rendered or at least a statement of maybe miscommunication. Also, if I was a customer causing a disturbance and bothering other customers why wasnāt this addressed? As a customer if someone is disturbing an establishment I would feel more comfortable if management or ownership addressed it in a professional manner and asked the person to leave rather than match rude behavior with so called rude behavior. Clearly this establishment is not professional and does not know how to handle conflict. There is no excuse for touching someoneās personal items without consent!! Iāll be sure to mention this on my next news segment so others will be aware of the poor professionalism at Hollywood Nails and Spa. If you live in the area please do yourself a favor and try another establishment. Or just maybe Anna will take inventory of her behavior and treat every customer with respect and try a professional approach if she claims to have an issue with a customer. This time my nails looked beautiful HOWEVER going in I had a split on my middle nail and asked the tech multiple times if he could do something to re-enforce the split it so it wouldnāt break. Other salons Iāve gone to have either placed glue or a small piece of tip on the broken split to avoid it breaking. He said no it would be fine. Wellllll no it wasnāt fine- here I am barely a week later on vacation wanting to have gorgeous nails and that exact nail is broken in exactly where the split is that I requested to be reinforced. Now I have collectively wasted about $300 ā¦.completely done with this shop.
I donāt like being that person, but the glowing 5 star reviews were exactly what brought me to this salon. Perhaps it was just my nail tech not sure, but Iāve been getting SNS on my nails for the past 5 years and this has got to be one of the worst results Iāve had. Was in town for a wedding and wanted a modern French. First, I was surprised to see the tech doing clear powder for the base as other salons usually use a nude /beige powder instead she put beige gel on top of the powder. I was secondly surprised to see the tech free handing the white when typically tools to ensure clean lines are used. Iām used to 2 hour mani pedi appts but at 2.5 hours in I had weird uneven nails. I told Anna I wasnāt the happiest so she sent me back to the tech. I didnāt really have much more time to wait but let the tech do her thing to try to fix it which actually made it much worse. The white is significantly and noticeably thicker than the rest of the nail. The beige bubbled, the underneath never filed or shaved down. 3 HOURS and I had gloppy uneven thick nails. Polish was also left on my hands that I had to scrub off along with filing the globs underneath. I showed them to friends at the wedding who donāt even get nails done and they agreed it was pretty bad. No apology, no offered discount, nope, I paid full price ($115 mani/pedi) for awful nails and wasted time. I have made three visits there, and my third visit was the absolute worst!!! Not only is my gel polish coming off after three days, but they were very unprofessional and nasty towards me. I noticed that while I was there, she kept acting like she was putting the acrylic on , but was skimming with it and the polish and several people (white) came in, and the technicians warmly greeted them with a āhello, how are you, can I help youā greeting verses ācan I help you ā, which is what I was presented with š¤. As I was nearing the end of my service, I felt on alert to watch them be so warm to certain people, and be so evasive towards me. I donāt have to say what kind of behavior this was. However I will say to all my women, sisters of color, donāt take my word for it, see for yourself, and then take your business elsewhere. I rather Pay the expensive $15 difference and get what I asked for, than to go back to this place of business and have to get my nails repaired within a week.
