This Dollar General was my first time going to it. It's located on N.Jackson St. In Brookhaven. It was different than the one near my home, that I usually go to. Each General Dollar store is different. The one on N. Jackson St. Is not really handy for handicap people. It does have handicap parking, however, it doesn't have automatic doors . There were very few buggies and they were outside ...none in the store. I walk with a cane and since I needed several things, I needed a buggy. Putting my cane in the buggy , I attempted to get the buggy thru the door while trying to push it through the door. It's was extremely difficult, made much easier , by a young gentlemen , holding the door open for me. The store did have some reasonable priced store brand medicines. The personal were helpful, but as usual they needed more checkers...the line was long and numerous coustomers had to wait at least 10-15 mins. Before another checker could stop stocking and assist in the check out. Since this store was within the city limits , it Could sell alcoholic beverages, but not past 8 p.m. Being unfamiliar with the layout of the store, it took me much longer to get what I needed. It would work better for the people who near it, but I will use the one...

I only needed 1 thing left but then I had to stop and run to the front to ask them to use the restroom in the back as I always have at this location..the guys look at me and tell me it’s not public and never has been. I explained that I’ve used it before and that I have a very weak bladder..explained that I can’t even go get the last thing on my list unless I can pee first. They refused for me to go and I started crying because I was so embarrassed and overwhelmed and could even move at that point. I called my husband and let him know that I can’t go checkout because I’m starting to pee myself and it was getting worse, so he told me to leave the buggy and go. I looked at one of the employees and told him sorry that he’s gotta put the stuff up because I’m peeing myself and walked as fast as I could to my car just for me to pee completely in my seat. Y’all I cried from the time I was getting off the phone to the time I got home. I have never felt...
Read moreMy husband and I went to Dollar General yesterday. It's close by in our neighborhood and we were on our way home. We went at a good time, Not many coustomers were there and I didn't see any stocking going on today. So we were freer to move around. It's extremely handicap accessible...there are several handicap parking spots...two being right in the front of the store. The doors automatically open for anyone entering and departing. The buggies are all new and in the store. I found what I was going there for and was in and out in record time... about 15 minutes. This Dollar General store was on Hwy.84 West. It was very neat and clean and the employees were very courteous and helpful. My battery was low and my phone was on a charger. I will seek to post a picture, asap, sorry that I couldn't...
