08/17/2025, at about 12:40 pm, my husband, his daughter, and I, drove in from New Orleans to visit his daughter and to grab a bite to eat at the Georgia Blue restaurant in Brook Haven Mississippi, which would have our fourth visit. The restaurant's main dining area only had a family of four when we first arrived to be seated, "towards the back, next to the walk in publuc bathrooms". We were the second family there. I asked to be moved due to the smells coming from the bathrooms. The manager was standing nearby and responded to the waitress to moved us to the next booth, still in the area of the smelly bathrooms.
We ordered our food and talked. As time went buy, the restaurant begin to filled up with customers that already been served ahead of us. I noticed, our food had not arrived, while 98% of the other customer were served, I mentioned this to my husband and we agreed to wait ten minutes more.
After waiting, a little longer, I become more hungry and a bit upset. We agreed to leave, but before leaving, I wanted to speak to the manager on duty, regarding this issue. While speaking to the manager about our concerns, she stated, that not all customers were served. I brought it to her attention that we were the "second family" that arrived to her area and all of the others tables were empty. We had been waiting a long time with no food. She did not explain the reason(s) why, neither did she give us an apology. I waited for her response, but, there was none. I stated to her that we felt racially profiled. The manger did not respond, and did nother to correct the situation. She never come to our table. I then stated to the manager, that we will not come back to ...
Read moreHave always had a great experience at Georgia Blue in Flowood and Madison. This was our second attempt at GB in Brookhaven. The first attempt, as we waited on a table, the hostess came out and told a customer that had been waiting on a to go order for over 30 minutes that they were out of what she had ordered with no offer of anything to make it right nor an apology, so we left. Tonight was our second attempt. After receiving our shareable appetizer, we asked for plates and silverware from the hostess who went on a scavenger hunt to see “if they had any” (her words). She returned 5 minutes later empty handed and at this point we are also out of drinks and have eaten with our fingers with no napkins to wipe them. She informed us that our waitress was coming with napkins and silverware. My wife spotted napkins at serving station so we helped our selves with the hostess smiling at us as she cleared a nearby table. During the visit, we visited this station twice more, for ketchup and to refill our sweet tea because we had almost finished our meal with several promises of refills but didn’t receive them until we were ready to leave. Oh and the silverware, we asked again when our meals were delivered and she disappeared for scavenger hunt #2, finally erupting from the kitchen, she had silverware in hand but stopped to take orders before she brought them to us. I’m sad to say the poor table beside us was having the exact same issues. Not sure if there wasn’t a manager on-site but it didn’t appear to be...
Read moreMy wife and I have eaten here several times and it was always great. Last night, however, we were on a road trip and ordered takeout from here to eat at our friends’ house. Our order was one Loaded Cheese Fries, two filets, one medium and one medium rare, with sides. $71 and change plus I left a $5 tip for the person that took the call(dine in I always leave 20%). I left $76.66 there. When we got to our friends’ house, we found my wife’s filet looked more like an oven mitt and tasted like beer jerky. Mine was fine. The Loaded Cheese Fries looked like gas station hot lunch potato wedges, complete with a very nice hair under the top layer. All in all, for $77 dollars, the meal was a let down to say the least. I would think a restaurant would want their takeout to be at least as good as their dine in meal if for no other reason than to gain a possible return customer who might spend more, which we normally do during a dine in. This was out 4th visit to this Georgia Blue, our first takeout from there however. This same restaurant at this location. I don’t know if they felt they could go slack on the quality because it was carryout or what. I’m pretty sure they didn’t know we were sort of repeat customers. Had it not been 10 miles each way I would have gone back. The 350 miles we had already been on the road and the terrible service at the Dollar General down the block used up my ‘dealing with people’ tank for the day. I gave them 2 stars for the prior good service we had had. This was...
