I've been going to theaters all my life, all up the west coast and now here in the south. We drove 40 minutes from where we love now to come see a movie here, while the staff were friendly, concessions were good, the bathrooms were acceptable, the #4 auditorium (where we had watched the movie we were there to see) had a damaged screen, it didn't "ruin" the movie, but with how much we paid (60.00$ approx.) for 3 to come see a movie here, with a large popcorn and a large soda, it would be nice to not see damages to the screen, also the floors were sticky, like they needed to be cleaned, there was some popcorn on the floor ( just a few pieces) from the last showing that no one cleaned up, the seats are outdated and smell bad. Im not hard to please, I don't consider myself to be someone who demands perfection, but we spent 60 dollars for my family of 3 to watch a movie there after driving for 40 minutes to get there, and its the first movie theater I have ever been to that smelled bad, was sticky, and outdated with a damaged screen. They seemed to care about upgrading their p.o.s. or computer systems because we had to select the seats we wanted on a computer screen which was weird, usually you just get your ticket and figure out where you are going to sit when you get into the auditorium, if I could have chose, I'd have moved back one seat, but I felt like if I had done that we would get in trouble maybe? But yet the screen being damaged and the lack of cleanliness seemed to be put on the back burner. I'd really like to make a point to go to the movies with my family every month, but we may find a different theater thats more updated and comfortable. One thing I will also say that was good about this one is that they had great air conditioning! I WOULD go back here if they were showing a movie I wanted to see that I couldn't find somewhere else, but if I can find the movie at a nicer theater, even if I have to drive an extra 30 minutes, I will. Comfort, cleanliness, and a good screen are just a huge "must" in any movie theater in my opinion. I hope and pray the management of Regal will see this review and will address these issues so we, and everyone else around town (and from out of town) can come enjoy all our family...
Read moreToday I went to the 12:30 showing of the Color Purple. This was my first time visiting this theater since 2011 and it’s sad to see that it hasn’t changed besides the sign outside. A decade later and the theater has the same decor, same menu, and short staffed. I understand that today is Christmas but Christmas is one of the biggest movie days of the year and this movie was one of the most anticipated movies of the year. It made no sense that there wasn’t an employee stationed at the box office desk for tickets. There was a crowd/ long line of people waiting in the lobby and majority of those people bought their tickets online including myself. The crowd would’ve efficiently been dissipated if we weren’t all having to go to the concession stand to get tickets printed. And standing in the line to get the tickets printed felt pointless because no staff was stationed outside of the theater room to check the tickets. This theater needs more staff, an expansion on their menu, and new decor ( paint, carpet, and seats). Those simple investments would increase the movie goers in that area and their...
Read moreHorrible experience. I purchased tickets in advance. I arrived early. They were printing tickets in the same place they were selling popcorn and drinks. The lobby was packed with people. It was unorganized and people who had repurchased tickets were trying to go around the lobby line thinking they could just get it. When we FINALLY entered the theater no one was taking tickets and no one was telling people where their assigned seats were. When we finally found our seats people were standing up all over. And the previews were already on. The ticket situation when we prepaid for tickets was outrageous. The staff was unorganized and didn’t seem to be in any hurry to get people to their seats. I will never come to this theater again. It took all of my energy not to get up and walk out asking for a refund. If it wasn’t for the fact that I brought my 82 year old mother to see this movie I would have said forget...
