If you are considering selling a valued piece of jewelry via the internet to Ermitage of any other internet seller/reseller, I would suggest you read this commentary first. I had a 46 year old Rolex watch that I had worn a good number of years during the time that I owned my watch. When I retired in 2010, I no longer cared much what time it was and placed my Rolex in a drawer. I found that it made no sense to me to have a beautiful timepiece like my Rolex sitting in a drawer and decided it was time to find a new home for my watch. I searched the internet and found a number of resellers that stated a good track record for reselling Rolex watches. I selected three (Ermitage being one) and requested estimates of the value price I might get for my Rolex. I received the estimates and found that, of the three, Ermitage was the lowest. My first inclination was to go with the middle estimate, since it seemed to be the most realistic, based on my research via the internet. The thing that set Ermitage far and away apart from the other internet businesses, was that Peter called me the same day that I sent him photos of my watch and pointed out some verifiable points regarding how he had valued my watch. Further, he pointed out that his offer (while lower than the other two) was an offer to purchase the watch directly. The other two estimates were contingent on them first selling my watch then taking a 20% commission on the sale of the watch. After considering my conversation with Peter and my options, I chose to send my Rolex to Ermitage for a final inside and out physical inspection. I was further pleased that Peter contacted me to let me know when my watch arrived and again after he had taken a closer physical look at my watch. This process was very fast and Peter called to make a final firm offer. I found the final offer to be fair and, more importantly, I found that working with Peter through this process was as painless and stress free as such a process could be for someone as paranoid as me about doing business over the internet/phone. Peter was very knowledgeable, honest and straight forward throughout the entire process. When I agreed on the final offer from Peter, Veronica placed a check in the mail the same day. I received the check within a couple of days, deposited it and exhaled. If I ever find myself in a position to sell another piece of jewelry I will only call Peter at Ermitage. Thank you Peter...
Read moreI have been shopping Ermitage for the last few years and have bought several Rolex watches. I thought I would take a little time to write a quick review of my experience (s).
This company is excellent to work with and they deliver just what they advertise. They are honest and trustworthy, just good people. I have bought two unworn Rolex Datejusts from them in the last couple of years, one a 2013 steel and the other a 2014 two-toned. Both watches were exactly, if not better, than described. I could not have been happier.
Two weeks ago I purchased a two-toned 2003 Rolex Submariner in "excellent" condition. The watch arrived right on time, and, once again, was even better looking than the pictures. The other day I noticed another Rolex Submariner in "mint" condition on the Ermitage website and decided to see if I could swap out my "excellent" conditioned Submariner for this one, even though I was beyond the 10-day return policy. No problem with Ermitage. I mailed the watch that day, gave them the tracking number, and they mailed this watch immediately... even though they had not received the other watch! Both watches arrived within hours of each other, mine to Atlanta and the other one to me in Hawaii. I did not expect them to do this for me, but they did so as to accommodate and take care of one of their customers... excellent service in my opinion.
Just picked up the 2004 Rolex Submariner "mint' condition watch... wow! The watch was better than described, more LNIB. I looked for any flaws or signs of use and could not find any. The watch looked like it was just produced and came off the show room floor. Again, I had a fantastic experience with this company.
My conclusion is simple, If you are looking for a quality watch and a trusted company to deal with, go with Ermitage Jewelers. They are easy to work with, honest in their comments and deliver quality products. Liz, Veronika and Peter were pleasant to deal with, no pressure, very professional. I will definitely purchase...
Read moreI'd like to take a moment to share my experience with Ermitage Jewelers, Atlanta GA. I would like to say that I am a very picky customer and definitely not one that is easy to please. I was looking to sell my watch and upgrading to an all gold. After substantial browsing online I came upon their website. I was positively impressed with the layout and how easy it was to navigate through their pages and inventory. I normally conduct my purchases in person, so this was a first time dealing with a jeweler via phone/Internet. My initial phone call with Veronika was nothing short of pleasant. She was very kind, knowledgeable and willing to accommodate every need and respond to any questions. Following was the negotiating part with Peter, the owner. I have dealt with many individuals in the course of my many years collecting expensive timepieces, and dealing with this gentleman was absolutely delightful. He worked with me, remember I am a pretty fastidious shopper, giving me the best possible value on my watch and on the purchase of his watch. He is professional, honest and highly knowledgeable. I have received the gold GMT today and I am beyond words, the watch is that beautiful! Everything about Ermitage Jewelers exceeded my expectations- from first time contact all the way to setting up payment&shipment and after sales feedback. If you are in the market for a beautiful timepiece, jewelry and the best customer service, THIS is your jeweler: knowledgeable, honest and professional, from...
