I purchased a used wedding dress from StillWhite, and while it was the right length, it needed three fixes that Bonnie performed in a timely manner:

1. Bustle! The old one was broken, and Bonnie made sure to stitch a reinforced loop + nearly invisible, STRONG button to pin up the trail of the dress for dancing & post-ceremony festivities (it withstood lots of twirling that day!)
2. Letting out fabric in the hips so I could wiggle & sit! Bonnie took my measurements quickly, and converted the dress shape so it fit like a glove around my body (which was EXTREMELY important since my husband & I love to dance, & hubby taught guests a waltz lesson for our reception - Bonnie helped me have a functional, photo-ready wedding dress!)
3. Expert adjustments to the illusion back! The previous dress owner stretched out the shoulderblade material, and so when I tried the dress on Bonnie noticed there was excess mesh-lace fabric sticking out on my back (which I would have never noticed!). Bonnie tucked the excess mesh and concealed it behind the lace flowers, which made the top half of the dress fit PERFECTLY!

Overall, the experience was very positive. When I called for the first time, with 2 months lead time, Bonnie was congratulatory and reassured me that I had plenty of time for alterations. She also was very considerate of her elderly customers and requested I wear a mask to protect them from the COVID pandemic (back in summer of 2022 whenthe first vaccines were starting to lose efficacy). She also helped me find her gem of a store. While Bonnie was very minimal with conversation, she was very efficient and gave me a REASONABLE price for alterations (thank heaven!) & estimated pickup time before starting work. Everything was completed on time, and I am so excited to use her services again for bridesmaid...

I had a disappointing experience. I called Bonnie in April about altering a bridesmaid dress that was slightly tight in the chest and needed to be let out an inch for a June wedding. Her first comment was, “June? Can’t you just lose some weight before then?”—which felt inappropriate, but I decided to proceed anyway.

I didn’t hear anything for over a month, and when I called, she said she hadn’t started and had forgotten about it because I hadn’t given her an exact pickup date. While I should have been more specific, I also wasn’t told an exact date was necessary.

She had me come in again, and when I tried the dress on, it was way too big. She never actually measured me—not once—just kind of pinched the fabric with her fingers. When I pointed out it didn’t fit, she told me that I must’ve lost weight (I hadn’t). Then she said she couldn’t take it in because that’s how the dress originally fit, which wasn’t true. She still didn’t pin or measure the dress to ensure it would fit correctly.

After FOUR trips, the dress finally fit well, but it had small red stains and a small fabric pull on the back. Bonnie may do fine with simple alterations, but I wouldn’t recommend her for dress...

Bonnie is beyond AMAZING! I went to Bonnie for the first time in May 2021 for my first wedding dress fitting- after that it took maybe 7 more fittings before the dress was complete and ready for my wedding in August! It came out so beautiful and so perfect i could cry! She really listened to what i wanted/envisioned as much as possible and gave her professional opinion on what would work and look good to get the best end result. It was very easy to make appointments with her, she stuck to the timeline like we had planned and was understanding if i had to switch an appointment because of dealing with crazy bride things! Not only that but I didn't end up finding my Rehearsal dress or my Welcome party dress until two weeks before my wedding. I brought them to her in a bind and she squeezed me into her schedule and got all 3 dresses done seamlessly- with time to spare before my wedding weekend! All 3 dresses truly made my wedding weekend better yet Bonnie made my wedding and ill never forget all she did for me! THANK YOU...
