Edinburgh Festival Centre — Local services in Brooklyn Park

Festival is one of those places that can't decide what it wan't to be. It's larger than your average Mom & Pop shop, but not anywhere near the size of something like Cub foods, which in turn leaves Festival with a somewhat limited selection of brands and items. But for most of us that's not really an issue, most of us enjoy those middle of the road type places. But what really gets to me about this particular location is that on multiple occasions I have purchased items that were moldy. Two of those times being with bagels and English muffins.

The prices aren't terrible, and the Essential Everyday they carry is awesome. That brand alone is worth stickin' around for.

All in all, this particular location gets a below average score due to food quality concerns and limited selection. Though, I don't know if any other locations have...

I go to Festival Foods from time to time, but I don't buy all of my weekly groceries there. Each item is priced significantly higher than the same item at Walmart and a bit higher than Target and Cub. I do like the store itself. It is clean, well lit, fully stocked, intuitively organized, and has a decent reward program with a seperate ongoing milk deal where the 7th gallon of milk is free after purchasing 6 gallons . The deli and bakery are both excellent. The staff members are usually helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. I rated Festival as four stars because the prices are a bit higher than other local grocery stores. I do like shopping there overall. Plus, it's the closest grocery store to my home; It saves me from spending a lot more at a gas station convenience store when I need to pick up milk and a few...

I love this grocery store! Notice it's NOT a SUPER MARKET. This is a grocery store that isn't also a warehouse where one walks, and walks up and down aisle after aisle finding what you want. I cook and try different recipes and I have always found even exotic ingredients at Festival. Rice flour? They got it. Steel cut Irish oatmeal, yup and you don't have to walk the length and breadth of a warehouse to find it. If you can't find it, ask. The staff are only too happy to help. If they still don't have it, the manager will probably order it in for you. Boom! Customer service!...
