Well I've been ordering groceries there for me and my sister and I always liked getting the discounts buying $50 getting $10 off for buying $75 getting $15 off or buying $120 off well that is all changed you know now 50 dollars don't get you know discount you got to spend $75 to get 10 dollars and you got to spend $150 to get $20 now well that's all I understand everything's going up and nobody wants to lose too much money but again it says if you spent $75 or more and that's what I did I ordered online on Street side to get $76.10 worth of groceries and since they did not have everything in stock it was short from being 75.00 so I did not get my $10 so I called up there and they let me know their policies are changed if you don't get the exact amount even if they don't have the product you get no discount so everybody pay attention now you think you're going to get a discount and if they don't have one thing and it makes it lower than the amount you have to purchase you do not get no discount I just got told that. I won't be buying much there anymore that's it no big items but I might go get one cell or two but I will never purchase big amounts again and I've been doing it quite a bit cuz I've been buying groceries for my sister too so again you know that's the way it goes everything's changing the Great Deals ain't great no more it's falling apart just want everybody to know be cautious don't count on...
Read moreI hail from further south in Texas, where H‑E‑B reigns supreme. But I tell you what, United puts H‑E‑B to shame. The store itself is smaller and has fewer options, but they make up for that, and then some, with the incredible quality. Their baked goods are fresher, their meats are fresher (and aren’t full of water like H‑E‑B’s) and the fruits and veg are wonderful! For example- it’s hard to get good tasting raspberries at H‑E‑B because they are usually underripe and sour or molding. United’s were perfect! And their in house guacamole (found in the fresh produce section)- is actually made of real foods. Not loaded with chemicals. The ingredients are simple and real. It was the best guac we’ve had in a while. I stopped buying it back home because the H‑E‑B guac tasted like chemicals.
Oh! Oh! And the people who work there are amazing! Any time we have interacted with the employees of the store, they have all been kind and helpful. My husband commented on that as well. And he’s not the type to go around saying people are awesome. 😂
If I could do our weekly grocery shopping at...
Read moreI'm a big fan of United! They carry a lot of organic products and produce and they make and sell Gouda pimento cheese!! Every time I go to Brownwood, I try to stop and pick some up. They have a great bakery and I love their breakfast! There is an inside dining area and a Starbucks, if you want a specialty drink. They also do a hot lunch bar and there is a salad and soup bar, as well. Everything on the bars looks fresh and the area is kept clear of soup and dressing droppings! I don't remember if they do a hot bar for dinner. They probably do. The staff makes your plate on the hot bars while the soup and salad bars are self serve. There is a nice selection of bottled drinks close to the dining area. Their prices are higher on some items, but they are always having great sales. I appreciate the size of the store. It's not super sized, but it's not small, either. I always enjoy shopping at United. I wish there was one closer to where I live. I could buy more cold things to bring home, like ice cream and...
