Dollar General — Local services in Buckeye

I was in the Dollar General tonight. I’ve been there a few times actually. Never have had a problem and without sounding like a, “Karen” ( I really hate that label) I’m going to tell you that each of the few times I’ve been there I’ve either spent $200.00 or come very close to it, every time. What can I say, I like shopping. Anyway today was no different. Had a lot of stuff. They rung it all up and bagged it as usual. Suddenly it was decided, “by the boss” that because one of my items didn’t have a price tag on it I wasn’t allowed to buy it! Of course it was the last one left! I needed it to be a prize at a party and I didn’t want to shop for that stuff anymore. After tonight I was done! Yay! So I thought! I had offered to pay up to $5 for it (it was a cheap piece of plywood with something written on it to hang up on a wall), it wasn’t worth more than that. So after my stuff was bagged the last thing the cashier did was pick that object up and put it aside. I said, “Your really not going to let me buy it?” She said, “He’s the boss” and pointed at some guy in line behind me. I got irritated, yes. I’ve spent money here before and I was getting ready to do the same now, but I couldn’t do it. Not once,has anyone who is employed there, ever smiled at me! They won’t even look you in the eyes. I don’t know why? I try hard to make them laugh or smile because it makes me nervous when they don’t! The one time I actually got looked at was tonight. When I told that cashier that I wouldn’t be buying anything then, she looked at me as if she wanted to kill me, but still didn’t speak to me. I apologized because I felt bad that they would have to return it all to the shelves. I would of done it myself, but they didn’t ask or maybe I left too fast. I guess I won’t be going back there again. I don’t want to be killed.😳...

I shop here 3 to 4 times a week and Always pay with paper bills to buy my items and Save my coins to roll up and Spend later. I rolled up my quarters to go shopping here today as Usual but the cashier refused my coins at this location. I was told that they usually do not accept quarters for payment because it makes the register drawers too heavy.

These are the same coins that they give me back here when I pay with my paper money. This does not make any since to me. I have been shopping here for 5 years and Really hate this cashiers response on My coins that was only quarters that I took the time to roll up and go shopping as a regular customer at this location. If they do not except quarters at this store to purchase items then they should not give quarters back for change.

My coins was denied here so I went ahead and Paid with my paper bills again and The cashier gave me back coins...

Read through a few reviews and let me say that ya'll can be so nasty and in some cases wrong in information. As an employee I can say that we try to keep up with the store cleanliness and stocked but that's impossible 1. Some of the customers can be dirty and leave everything everywhere knowing it has a home 2. We stock what is sent to us (not always we get everything we carry) 3.Yall Come in with drinks and food, spill it and not say anything about it. So not everything is our fault. We do apologize for the No Restroom (thank all buckeye junkies for that). Now we been getting alot of rude customers regarding our Fed Ex. Just an F.Y.I it's a drop off location only, we don't do printing services. One more thing you want good customer service then be a good customer. We treat people how they treat us....
