Buckeye Town Park — Attraction in Buckeye

Good play center with lots for kids to do. Plenty of grassy room to play sports or for gatherings. For over a year now the bathrooms have had a sign saying "due to vandalism restrooms will temporarily be closed at 6 p.m.". In reality they are often locked around the clock, forcing you to leave the park to use a restroom.

But the park has also been very clean for the last year or so which is really something considering all the littering that people do here. They really have their work cut out for them.

A few years back they put in doggie waste bag dispensers and I had to laugh at the optimism in that. I saw a few dog owners using them, but most ignored them. The real fun was when unsupervised children took most of the bags, filled them with bark and winged them onto the playground shade net, into the pool, and all over the damn place. After a month of this the dispensers were moved farther out into the middle of the park but that didn't help. Bye-bye doggie bag dispensers 🤷...

Last year my school had a driver that was very kind and super professional.Had our bus cleaned up after us daily and was early always. We went to Disneyland and other areas in California. I believe he went by Ed, a European young man in his late 30s or early 40s, not sure exactly. Ed if you read this just know our schools are rooting for ya and hope we have you as our driver again this spring and summer 2025 cause all of our school kids and staff think the world of you and we always have you part of our conversation. My daughter had a medical emergency and needed 911. The staff did an amazing job with caring for my daughter, administering CPR, and maintaining control of the surrounding environment. Could not ask for a better staff! Policy required the pool to be closed and all but 1 person was accommodating. To that selfish adult male who was screaming and cursing at the staff for doing their job, may you never have a life-threatening emergency with your child! The fact that the staff maintained their professionalism in dealing with such nonsense while caring for my child was above and beyond any response I would have had. I cannot thank the staff for caring for my daughter who is doing much better...
