Buckeye Motor Hotel — Hotel in Buckeye

Oh...what a gem. My 3 year old drew a few small circles on the sidewalk with chalk near our door, and the owners unlocked our door the next morning, woke us up, and while in bed demanded that we get up to clean the chalk. It took us a minute to even figure out what was even happening. These were outlines, not a huge mess. Unlocking doors while people are paying to sleep is invading privacy. There are ways to handle it professionally. We started getting bit by bed bugs on day 5. My daughter ended up with over 20 bites. I asked to change rooms, and was told they couldn't because the owners weren't there. I showed them the bites, so got another crappy room with black mold. The washer and dryer sits outside in the dirt. Haha I couldn't even believe it. This place is so run down and nasty, I'd rather sleep in my car and get a kink in my neck. I feel like they have bigger issues than a few chalk circles a toddler made. I'll never stay here again, and good luck to anyone that does. The manager is very nice and helpful. If you need something the staff is willing to take care of it. The pillows are wonderful. The rooms are quiet. I could not hear my neighbors and they did not hear me. Many of the other guests are in town to work so early to bed early to rise. The beds are firm/comfortable. The linens are crisp. My kitchenette had a small table, 2 chairs, microwave, sink, refrigerator, & a gas stove. The TV was a 55" flat screen. The hotel has free wifi. Some of the rooms have a carport and each room has it's own parking spot. It is within walking distance of restaurants, Circle K, discount stores, a laundromat, and a Snap Fitness gym. Just a bit farther is an IGA grocery store, Chase bank, and 2 coffee houses. However, the hotel could use some maintenance. Would I stay there again? Yes, I would definitely stay again. Yikes. This is absolutely the most disgusting property I've been to. Tinfoil on the windows is only the beginning. I get there and they decide to charge double the room rate for a non refundable deposit. Electrical hazards all over the room (power strips glued to the wall). The largest layer of dirt on top of everything. And to top it all off, walked into two cockroaches dead on the bathroom floor. And as the night progressed, THREE MORE live cockroaches.
