OK, I don't write a ton of reviews but I had an experience with Nick and Greulich's this past weekend and thought it was worth some of my time to tell others about it. I just moved to Verrado (Buckeye) and my AC went out in my 06 Lexus Truck a day before we needed to drive to Oregon for an important event. We were in trouble big time. I had driven by Greulich a couple times and since it is in a beautiful new building I was thinking I would give them a shot. I read the reviews and kept hearing about this Brandon guy that was a service manager there. Well, it was time to give them a shot. I went in and Brandon was not there. I was bummed based on all these reviews... So I spoke with Nick who smiled as approached. I was screwed and was throwing a hail mary to get this problem fix on a Friday to leave on Saturday. Nice was great and jumped right in. He took my truck and Uber'd home. I got a call a bit later with a reasonable estimate and more importantly it looks like they were able to rush it to get me on the road so I didn't have to fly. The part was not available anymore from anyone but they use a fabricator to re-create the part. They had to drive the part there. I was hopeful but the fabricator was unable to make it work (the part was too small). It was Saturday and now time was ticking. On his day off Nick drove a long way out to pick up the part and drove it to someone else, a friend, to try something else, then drive it back to Buckeye and install it. IT WORKED, and the bill was a lot less than the estimate. WOW, I feel bad for Brandon as there is a new sheriff in town! Thanks so much for going above and beyond for me to get us to Oregon and we had AC the whole drive. I'll be back with all my automotive needs. Also, I liked their Texting solution that alerted me as soon as my car had a status change. Good Job...
Read moreI know mechanics tend to have a bad rep out there - I've had bad experiences myself. I was a bit reluctant to reach out when I needed my truck to get checked out/repaired - but this place was close and I did hear from some others that they're pretty honest/decent.
First up - when I spoke to them on the phone - there was no concern about me just coming right in to drop the truck off vs having to schedule something a ways out.
When I got there, they talked to me about high-level symptoms my truck was having and one of the guys there immediately put my mind at ease by even providing some possible causes that lined up with what I found on the Tundra forums from users who had the exact same problem I had.
The got back to me the very next morning with a full diagnostic, pictures, etc. of everything they looked at and explained why my truck was having the issue it was having. There was no mechanic lingo telling me I needed to replace my entire engine or anything crazy like that - it was explained to me like I could understand and the cost didn't hurt as much as I was worried it would.
There are a lot of things I'm capable of doing on my own with my vehicle but it's nice that we have places like Greulich's that people can go to and trust that they're not going to be taken advantage of.
Often times, I think people forgo getting their vehicles looked at because they don't trust mechanics - and then they end up with even higher repair costs - so hopefully someone sees this review and at least gives them a...
Read moreOIL CHANGE I took my 2014 Volkswagen beetle in for an oil change today. There were a couple guys up front that were very nice Nick and Tom. I had Tom help me and he was very helpful on finding me wiper blades and getting them delivered to the store in a matter of minutes. While waiting Tom and I talked about Family and previous places we have visited. The store was clean and has a nice waiting area. Going into the oil change I had some concern about the undercarriage and wasn't sure if anything needed to be replaced due to a minor incident. They came back with nothing was wrong and even helped with keep it sturdy with adding an extra pin. To say the least I was impressed. When I got home I notice that I had oil that dripped on my driveway which irked me abit. I crawled underneath to clean the rest of the oil off and hoping that will be the end of it. Its a simple task for the most part when it comes to changing oil and especially when you have the equipment. I thought maybe I should check my fluids to make sure they were full and I noticed the brake fluid was but the windshield wiper fluid wasnt. I wont mention the mechanics name but I was disappointed that it wasn't full. That is enough to not go back. Nick mentioned to come back and they would be happy to fill it up. Short cuts like that is enough to question the hard work. I will come go back and give them another shot because of how i was treated by...
