After countless recommendations to Swanty’s, I REGRET this trip. Debbie provided a very poor experience across the board.
Brought my Jeep here because of a leak (21 Grand Cherokee LESS THAN 30K miles) and turns out to be the motor mounts. Here’s a recount of everything that transpired from THE OWNERS POV.
When I brought the vehicle in, Debbie knew we were arriving due to my partner scheduling this appointment. When arriving Debbie was friendly and got a technician out and right there in the drive they told me it was the mount. I proceeded to call my partner as I was not the one paying for this specific service. I handed the phone off to Debbie and heard the conversation from just her side. It was going well until she quoted $982 because we need both sides done if ONE IS LEAKING. In under a minute it went from a friendly pitch of service and pricing to “the price is the price nothing I can do goodbye” and then she went quiet for a second. I proceeded to get the phone back, and then my partner was upset due to Debbie’s lack of care, understanding, or even working with the customer. My partner told me to give him a few minutes to take somewhere from our monthly budget to be able to afford this given Debbie’s “price is the price.”
I proceeded to leave with my ride and give him a few minutes. He called me back and said he told Debbie to go ahead and proceed but he was still very disappointed with their previous conversation. But hey we got a 10% (capped at $50) that almost every jeep dealer has had posted on their website. Glad that was presented AFTER the unpleasantness.
Well I am happy and proceeded with my day enthralled that he could afford this on such an abrupt notice. My partner was still very disappointed and decided to research with Anderson Jeep-Chrysler-Dodge and called in and apparently had a very easy, friendly, and informative conversation with an advisor there. Their first offer with NO MOPAR coupon for BOTH mounts, was significantly lower than Swanty’s with a coupon. He called in and found out they already replaced one mounts and were WAITING for the parts FROM ANDERSON? We were stuck waiting for the service to finish at that point but we did not complain or anything to Swanty’s.
After finishing the vehicle within their promised time, we picked it up the following morning. We were very pleasant and tried to make it through the FINAL stage of the LAST interaction we will have with Swanty’s. My partner paid and I went with my mother to drive my vehicle to the front. My partner wanted the inspection report as would anyone with a vehicle that has 29k miles and already “needs” $893 worth of fixes. He waited inside for 5-10 minutes while Debbie “found the inspection.” The inspection lacks pretty much anything an inspection means. The colored boxes are checked green for good, but the fill in spots are blank. No tire tread written, not even my vin number written.
My partner spent $893 with the coupon for the servicing on my vehicle. Overall, very lackluster and Debbie made this as difficult as anyone could have. Will not be coming back.
P.s. check the receipt and payment information you guys have because it was NOT me NOR my parents, thanks.
The technician Chris is an amazing tech, very friendly, and explained to me what it was. Thank you for taking time to have that...
Read more1 / 1 Stay away from this dealer. They sound nice and had decent ratings, but they do not stand behind their sales one bit. I called from North Dakota about a used SUV they had listed for sale. I asked if it was in good shape, everything work, and if there were any scratches or dings. Erica replied it that it is “nice clean car, no issues one bit”. Being the trusting person I am, I put $1000 down to hold the SUV, flew down to Vegas, and they picked me up to get the car. I will admit, the ride from Vegas to Bullhead was appreciated…but that’s about it. Upon arriving at the dealership, I immediately notice 3 flaws on the exterior of the SUV that we’re not told to me. Ericia brushed them off like they were nothing. I understand it’s a used car, but I specifically asked her about damage. She lied about recalls that we’re supposed to be completed and were not. She failed to mention anything about the warranty work that was just completed on the SUV, I’m happy this work was completed, but she failed to mention anything about it. I ended up still purchasing the SUV, because I’m now down in Bullhead City, AZ and needed to get back to ND. But the disappointments don’t stop there! The rear defroster wire fell off on the ride home, looked like someone hot glued it to make it look like it was attached. Same thing on a piece of rear trim behind the 3 row seats, looked like it was hot glued on. The sunroof wouldn’t open. When we called after I made it back to ND and spoke to Brandon, an assistant sales manager, he knew about it! Again…just failed to tell me before I flew halfway across the country! Found out from our local Ford dealer this would be a $7,000 repair. I got down the road and had to put 5-10 lbs. of air in each tire. The SUV only came with one key but Erica said she would mail out the 2nd. 5 weeks after the purchase date and guess what…no key. I understand this is a used car…but I asked Erica if everything worked and she said it did… When I returned to ND, I dropped the SUV off at a Ford dealer to check it over because it was clear that Swanty’s didn’t. The Ford dealer completed the two recalls that Swanty’s lied about doing and they replaced the cam phasers, thankfully still under factory warranty. So, we purchased a “new car” to us and had to park it for almost 2 weeks while an honest dealer actually did some work to it. We followed up with Swanty’s with a couple phone calls with all the issues and they said it’s not their problem and Dave, the sales manager, actually hung up on my wife twice! Like I said, I understand this was a used car, I guess I expected a bit more honesty when I originally asked about it when I called. If I would have known all the issues and damage, I would have not flown halfway across the country to deal with a...
Read moreBy far the WORST service department I have ever worked with. Have a 2021 Grand Cherokee with less than 36k miles. BOTH ENGINE MOUNTS. Oh well, but Debbie THE WORST ADVISOR I HAVE EVER MET. Treats customers (NEW customers) like a sack of money and nothing further. When quoting my service, parts were 20% of total price, rest was labor hours. When talking to her I asked to get a better breakdown and see if she could work on pricing given of the $1,000 780 was labor. She proceeded to tell me “Price is the price and that’s all so goodbye” I had to pretty much beg her to stay on the phone and try to work with me. She has to be the most unfriendly advisor ever and does not care for her customer base or retention. (No she did not work with me she gave me the “10%” off which is capped at $50 thanks.)
After this fiasco, I took matters into my hand to research pricing on parts by calling Anderson Chrysler. The part they had promised to fix, was on a back order and they went to Anderson after realizing the promise everything was in stock, which saved the service to being kept with them. Anderson gave me a quote over the phone and spoke to me like a human being.
THATS NOT ALL. When picking up the vehicle I asked for a copy of the inspection report, because if something broke already let’s check everything. It took her 10 minutes to “find” my inspection report. She made it in front of me. Does not have my VIN written down, and no information except green checked boxes to say we are good. The basics were not even done. I don’t know what tire tread is, I don’t know what coolant levels were, I don’t even know if they bothered to inspect the car outside of the motor mount which was diagnosed in the drive by a technician before the car was even checked in.
So was it worth a thousand dollars? NO, CALL ANDERSON CHRYSLER/JEEP, they’ll talk to you like a human, give you a SIGNIFICANTLY better deal, and who knows, MAYBE they do inspections and actually give information back to...
