The absolute worst experience I've ever had with a train. The conductor is likely drunk or high. Metrolink isn't equipped to handle these problems. I tried to report the issue to 311 and to metrolink and they are absolute failures at life. Nobody will test this guy and if a tragedy happens, it is on their heads.
The train pulls up to the station and stops far short of where we are sitting. We get up and start running to the train in full view of the conductor and door man. Within 10 seconds, the train starts moving again. As we are about to enter the door with a baby in a stroller, a toddler, a senior citizen, and myself when they CLOSE THE DOOR ON US.
Calling customer service, they inform me that if I want a refund for the $20 we spent on tickets, they won't process it over the phone after they took all of my info already and wasted my time. Instead, I have to go online and fill out another form and send them a picture of our tickets. They should have paid us $300 for the day they wasted of ours, the irate children we had to deal with, and the danger they put us all in with the short stop and the closing of the doors.
Guess what the door man said when I asked him "where do we get on?" as the doors were closing on us? He said "take the Amtrac". Guess what? I might never take Metrolink again. The LA City Council will be seeing me at their next public meeting to...
Read moreA basic necessity is signage and information. As a first time user of the platform, I could not tell (even after walking the length of both platforms) which side would allow me to board my train heading to Union Station. The ticketing machine is confusing as well. It offers a number of tickets options like 'special tickets' and 'corporate tickets'. In order to buy from the machine, you have to choose the option that says 'buy from airport's which made me concerned that I would be going back into Bob Hope to get a ticket printed. Luckily not. In any case, a helpful local directed me to board on the side opposite the ticketing machine area. And it was an Amtrak surfliner. I had purchased a Metrolink ticket. I looked confused enough so the Amtrak employee helpfully asked me where I was headed and looked at my ticket. She then directed me to board the train ( which I would not have done otherwise since it did not match my purchased ticket). Yikes. What a confusing morning.
At least it is clean and within easy access of...
Read moreThis location is horrible, terrible. Parking, if you find any is super narrow and dilapidated. No sign whatsoever. It's just awful. Never again. Avoid this location at all cost. If you do find parking, it'll take you half hour just to get out of there because its so narrow. The parking right next the free parking is $18 but still a mess and same super narrow spots. There is trash and crap everywhere. There is a beat up old trashed bus sitting there that you have to walk by. If it's late at night it could be dangerous. Who know what can be in there. I expected more from city of Burbank. I was pretty shocked to be honest. Go to either downtown Burbank or better yet Glendale. Glendale Amtrak is the Ritz Carlton of...
