e.d.b. — Restaurant in Burbank

We were looking for a decent sit down restaurant near the Burbank Airport and we found the most amazing place right at the entrance of the Marriott Hotel which is literally right across the street from the airport. It has its own driveway you enter on Hollywood Way and parking is free for people going to the restaurant. You can utilize the handicapped spots right in front if you are handicapped and have your placard or you enter their parking lot and grab the little parking card that comes out of the machine as you enter. Then just tell your waitress you parked in the lot and she will bring you a sticker to attach to your card so when you exit it is FREE!!! The server we had was Katie and she was a doll and an excellent waitress. We are high maintenance customers so that was so good to have her. She immediately came over and got us beverages. The large square bar was in the center and had TVs on all sides with Monday night football on. I could see the game from our dinner table and was delighted. Their menu although not as large as some restaurants was full if delicious dishes and we 3 all found something we loved. We got an appetizer of Edamame that was spiced perfectly. Then came our main dishes. I got three little yummy sliders (burgers) and requested cheddar cheese, horseradish and blue cheese crumbles and was so pleased they had all three! Made my burgers extra delicious and the pickle also made it so tasty. My 90 year old mother got a delicious chicken salad and loved it. My best friend got i believe some type of gumbo dish with shrimp and rice and veggies. She loved it. We also met a sweet giant man named U, I believe was the manager walking around checking to make sure all the patrons were happy. So friendly and kind. After we had dinner, we noticed they had desserts, and we got a custard with caramel in it and blue berries on top. It came in a jar and we got three spoons and devoured it. So so very delicious 😋. Afterwards, we got our bill, and due to my friend being an Alaskan Airlines employee, they gave us a 20% discount! This made this restaurant extra special. The surroundings were big palm trees 🌴 and the Marriott Hotel, and the seats at tables were nicely padded. We were basically outside on a large patio close to the hotel pool, the front desk area and the we were basically in very front of the Hotel. We could occasionally see and hear planes as we were right by the burbank airport. We left with a few leftovers and huge smiles on our faces. Eat Drink Be In Burbank is bringing all the vibes. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, the crew and the love music. The city is also amazingly beautiful. Hands down to the EDB crew tho. Their good vibe brings in the fun. If they're having fun, they are coming to your table with all the fun. Expect to have a fun night.

Here's what I ate. • Skirt Steak Avocado Chimichurri | comes with asparagus this was highly recommended by everyone there. They did not disappoint. Every slice is medium rare and every bite you get the avocado and chimichurri sauce. Perfect bite.

• Sashimi Tiradito | raw fish with purple potatoes chips, pickled onions and peanuts with a flavorful citrus sauce all over. It's the sauce where you would lick the plate clean.

• Shrimp & Chicken Paella | this is so flavorful. As much as I love this dish, I am trying not to eat too much rice so I definitely ate the other two more.

• Mushroom Truffle Burger | comes with fries. anything mushroom I would get so I had to have my hands on these. I got lucky I even got a bite into this burger. My nephew devoured it.

• Mediterranean Salad | everything about this bowl is healthy. You can add protein but the amount of avocado in this salad, you really don't need it. It was so good as is.

Always love coming by e.d.b. when killing time near the Burbank airport. It's all outdoors, so on a cold or hot day you'll have to plan accordingly, but for most of the breezy California days it's a perfect spot to sit outside for a beverage. Think lobby bar but outside. There's a large rectangular bar with bar seating all around, but then plenty of 2 tops and 4 tops all around the patio area as well. They do a good job of having heat lamps on for cold nights, and there's definitely some shady spots for hotter, sunny times. It's right next to the pool so it's not always quiet, and if the hotel is full for a conference or something, the place will get really busy! Service can be a little slow sometimes, but I imagine they are short staffed like a lot of places right now. Aside from a full bar they also offer a large food menu. Haven't tried anything food-wise in years so can't speak on it, mostly just come for a beer or two. They typically have a few craft beers on tap from Lincoln Beer Company down the road too which is cool. You can self-park for free as well; the last few times the gate has been up so no ticket is required but if the gate is down, take a ticket and they validate. You can also walk here from the airport, but it's prob 10-15 min walk. Also e.d.b. sits right on the valet circle too, so if you need to call rideshare, you're right where they'll come for pickup...
