I’m so upset, took a $10,000 diamond ring to Lane Jewelers, three week later, they tried to give me a ring in a Totally different color and one size too little. For almost three months, it’s one excuse after another; we gave them the gemological report, but still the owner is asking us to take his word that the diamond he claims is ours, is ours; he also says diamonds have decreased in value since my husband purchased this one for me 18 years ago, then he stated manmade diamonds are just as valuable as natural ones. He told us today that he isn’t willing to pay another gemologist to come into his store and appraise my diamond. Had an awful experience that ended in tears. I brought a beautiful 10k genuine gemstone chain in to be fixed, it was fixed on the spot, however after getting home I realized the gems were put back on backwards. No biggies I thought and went the next day to fix it again. The owner was a complete smug jerk. Acted like it wasn’t his fault and as if I didn’t know where it was broken and fixed. I’ve had this chain over 30 years, trust me I know it. Here is the handy work from the “repair” I now have to have a real jeweler make a whole new link as he blasted a hold through the jewelry and either completely fried the fragile 10k gold or used something other than gold. Angie & Bob at Lane Jewelers are top-notch! My husband presented me with a beautiful gold & diamond ring to celebrate a very special occasion. Unfortunately I couldn't wear it until it was resized. I also had a family heirloom gold and diamond ring with a shank that was very thin and bent. Angie explained our options for repair and then Bob discussed the process.
