Just made an order online today. The website glitched several times and had to redo order twice. Picked up order and one sub was not what we ordered and looks thrown together. Called and very unprofessional staff did not know what to do. Put me on hold and came back and told me to call Michael the manager/owner. I called him and asked if we could replace he said no he doesn’t want it back. Michael was very nonchalant unprofessional as well and basically told me there is nothing he can do, it wasn’t his restaurant’s fault even though it is his local website. I asked Michael if we could at least bring it back and he replied “I don’t want it”. If you are ordering anything from this Firehouse whether online on phone and probably inside restaurant, with this owner/manager I don’t believe he will correct, compensate or anything complimentary to fix your order. His attitude and ego screams “profits” and take no loss. Hardly any staff working when order was picked up and the staff that was working was only 3 that lacked education by the way they said there was not an order then found it but didn’t know where it was. This was the first time we have ordered any restaurant food in years because we cook our own. This is a reminder also why this will be our last and keep cook our own food at home. Food prices in grocery stores are high but at least you are definitely knowing what’s in it and not being overcharged for slop thrown together. I do not recommend this Firehouse sub at all at 2471 South Church Street Burlington or any other Firehouse that is owned or operated by this Michael. Will be calling Firehouse Subs...
Read moreApril 11, 2021 I had the worst experience at this restaurant. I ordered online on the way home 1.5 hr prior to pick up. I arrived late and had to sit and wait while my food had not been started by the set pick up time for over 45 min. I left and returned to give extra time and still had not been started when I returned. 2 out of 4 people were making food while one appeared to be training was watching. 1 associate recommended the person in training help out while the others said that “how can he help if he doesn’t know what he’s doing?”. I thought if 2 alike sandwiches he could mirror but no. They jokingly talked about not needing a job, they would demand a raise, or they weren’t going to make it to the expected year mark. They claimed to be so backed up on orders that at least 15 walk in customer walked out. Potential customers turned away because they were slammed. I only watched 5 orders get produced and handed out in 45 min. After experiencing this and hearing how the associates feel about there job and not being able to utilize all resources and hearing other remarks I don’t want to mention I will not dine at this location again if something doesn’t change. Read moreI love Firehouse Subs and order a lot using the App. There is one lady that knows me and I forgot to ask for no onions one day and she remembered and put them on the side. But today was a different story. When I arrived I was nicely welcomed. The lady came right up to take my order was pleasant and when I went to order my usual before she could speak a rude what I believe to be the manager stated we no longer have that, not giving her a second to speak. He interrupted her several times. I told her I was glad when he moved to the other end of the restaurant so he would quit interrupting her. After putting in my order I noticed there was only one person making subs while the manager and another guy stood around. The manager finally came over to help the one girl and he was chewing gum like a cow chewing cud while preparing my food. I was disgusted! When I picked up my order I told him please get rid of the gum is was gross being over other people's food this way. I walked away and I heard him say in the background "It's NOT my problem!"
