I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but this has been bothering me the last few times I’ve gone to this Cava location in Burlington.
I try to find healthier options of food to eat especially after I go to the gym with some friends. We can’t workout until pretty late and finished up a little after 9pm. I was very pleased to find Cava, since they closed at 10pm.
That unfortunately changed after going several times around the 9:30ish time. The staff there seem completely annoyed of us coming in at time as they are just focusing on their closing duties. I understand that and wanting to get off as soon as possible, but for the staff to ignore customers and visibly annoyed for us choosing their location is ridiculous.
There were 4 of us and we try to get there as soon as we can, but anytime we get there after 9pm we get the same lackluster and terrible “service” if any at all.
There are too many options for food and I will not spend money in establishments where employees don’t want the business.
We have walked out and chose to eat somewhere else. I don’t plan on going back to this...
Read moreI normally love going to Cava during the day, but my recent late-night order was a complete letdown. I placed my order just before 10 p.m. expecting the same quality I usually receive, but the experience was nowhere close.
The pita chips we ordered for the kids were soggy because the crazy feta wasn’t placed in a separate cup—it was put directly on the plate with the chips. By the time we got them, they were soft and wet instead of crisp and fresh. On top of that, both the chips and the chicken were heavily coated with black pepper. It wasn’t just a light seasoning; it was so excessive that it overwhelmed the food completely.
This is not the standard I’ve come to know from Cava. During the day, everything is always fresh, flavorful, and consistent. Unfortunately, this nighttime experience was so disappointing that I would not recommend ordering in the evening until the quality is addressed. I really hope management takes a closer look at how food is being prepared at night because it makes a big difference for...
Read moreThe concept is great, the execution is not. I ate there three times over the past two weeks - very hit-or-miss.
Last night the place was dirty - the tray they put our food on hadn't been wiped down. The tables hadn't been wiped down, there were no forks at the station - nobody seemed to be on top of it.
The food prep area - where you watch them make your bowls - had bits of stray food all over as if nobody was bothering to keep their area clean.
The folks making your food are either understaffed, or just don't have any sense of urgency, and the line moved liked molasses in winter. In Maine.
$38+ for two bowls and two drinks is really steep, and there's no welcome other than "next." It is a "hospitality" business, right?
The air conditioning was blasting away, so cold that it drove us out the minute we finished eating.
On the other hand, I got a great wrap last week for lunch, fairly quickly.
Consistency is important, especially at prices like this - whoever owns or manages the place needs to...
