I was not pleased with this place at all. I took my dogs here for orientation today and was given a tour. The receptionist area was clean but smelled of poop. They put my dogs in a weird room to greet others but there were glass cages with small dogs which looked so inhumane. The noise levels were out of control. Half of the dogs that were in their kennels were sitting in poop and they had been open for a full hour at this point. I thought most places used bark control collars but this one clearly did not and it was overwhelming. I could tell the older dogs were over stimulated by the noise including my dogs which normally play and play but sat on the tower and just laid there. The play areas are super small and do no give any dog enough room to play/run. The owner informed me that I do not need to make reservations for day care which I found strange being that there should be a capacity. The areas were so cramped with dogs that dogs were slipping on pee constantly as there was NOT staff in the areas at all times like "they" promised. I would never advise anyone to give their dog a bath in their "grooming facility." The dogs may come out more dirty then when they went in. It was so uncleanly in the entire place I almost took my dogs back home. I decided to give it a few hours and had my husband pick them up as I could not possibly watch the unorganized mess anymore. I have never seen my dogs so unwilling to play as they were here. Being that this place was 3 seconds from our house we thought it would be more convenient then the place we were using but I will take the inconvenience and continue to go to a CLEAN facility where the dogs have lots of room to run and play in the pools outside. I have never really wanted to write a review as I did today. Have to give our dogs a bath as they smell like dog poop which has not happened at any...
Read moreI have a Chocolate Lab that remained there from 08/03/18 - 08/12/18. During this time period there was a bacterial infection that was going around in their facility between dogs. Without giving us any warning or letting us know of the problem, our dog Roxy remained there. Now Camp Bow Wow personnel said that it's like a day care, kids come in sick. I agreed to a point but day care does not allow kids to remain if they are sick and day cares let you know if a problem exist. Now after two vet visits and over 629.00 my dog is extremely sick with that bacterial infection and we still don't know if she will make it.
I have spoken with the owner Jeff, who first claimed he would help foot the bill, but now he has gone silent. Thank you Camp Bow Wow and your staff as my dog my just never make it through this week.
In response to your post and answers. Thank you Diane for reaching out to me in an email where you copied and pasted the same response as you posted here. I retired from the Air Force in 1997 and now from U.S. Customs and Border Protection after 20 years in law enforcement. My friends told me about your facility and we had previously used your place. I didn't see any post on your website about how dangerous this virus can be to other dogs. Placing a notice on your door, come on, how many people read an 8x11 post on a door as they push it open. Thank you for that touching response of "I'm not sure any reimbursement will ease your frustration." I will let my fellow friends in law enforcement know and hopefully they and others will no longer use...
Read moreI had my 1 year old German Shepherd here a few times. The last time a few months back My dog came come with a bite mark on his neck. The owners or management made it right paying for his vet bill which wasn't expected great service however equally I wasn't told at the time of incident.
Fast forward to last weekend. I gave them another chance. I wanted my dog out of my hands while I did home repairs for the day.. Wouldn't you know it. He has another bite mark. No one said anything about this again. No summary of what transpired thought the day. I haven't been to many dog day cares however some other ones give you a report. For example "I played mostly with a new lab named dasiy". That is the biggest problem no communication. If my actual kid gets a cut Im told about it in some way. It should be the same. "Hey your dog was playing rough we found this" at least I would know to take action. Now he's on actobiotics and pain medication for the next week. I thought with the new updates to the camp things would be different.
Edited. I was reached out by the owner of the camp. She was very apologetic, and reviewed camp footage diligently. This has caused me to...
