NASTY BUGS! I want to express my deep concern and disappointment following a disturbing experience at your Burton, Michigan location (Center Road and Court Street) on May 27, 2025.
I visited the store to purchase new work clothing for both myself and my boyfriend. While browsing the womenâs clothing section, I picked out several items and was preparing to try them on. Before doing so, I showed my boyfriend a pair of pants I had selected and to my shock, discovered a large insect on the garment.
I immediately used a bug identification app on my phone and confirmed the insect was a Masked Hunter bug (also known as a âbed bug eaterâ). While I understand these insects are known to prey on bed bugs, they are still harmful to humans and animals and have no place in a retail clothing environment.
This discovery was not only disgusting, but it also raised serious concerns about the cleanliness and safety of your store. The Burton location is noticeably run down and, based on this encounter, likely in need of proper pest control treatment.
As a result, I left the store immediately without making any purchases and I do not plan on returning. I felt it was important to bring this to your attention so that you can take immediate action to investigate the conditions at this location and ensure the safety and hygiene of your merchandise for future customers.
I strongly encourage your team to inspect and treat the store appropriately. Customers deserve a clean, safe shopping experience, especially when trying on clothing.

We get everything rang up and paid with a check, the check did not go through although I knew there was more than enough in the account. No one apologize that the payment wasnât going through, and acted it was our fault. The girl that helped us was nice but an older lady pretended to be a manager, the older gentleman the real manager came and did nothing but say we canât accept your check. No apology nothing. So we had them hold our stuff and brought cash incase the check didnât go through. We went to the bank and showed them the printout we received and they said they never seen it before, they said we shouldnât have any problems writing a check. Tried paying with a check again same problem. No one apologized again, they assumed we didnât have the money to pay. We brought cash incase the same thing happened. I donât normally write reviews but I was so disappointed with how the staff treated us, I donât want to even shop here. We had a situation at kohlâs recently and they apologized and gave us an extra 30% for the inconvenience. 2 managers helped us and the customer service was great! Talking about being at school with people who smoked crack and getting arrested. I understand that stuff happens but don't advertise it in a professional situation please. Then they were Talking about the other client that walked in behind his back because neither of them wanted to help him detangle his hair and I could hear everything as if I wasn't even there.
