Royal Sushi — Restaurant in Burton

Just opened recently (April 2025)! A Japanese buffet restaurant, first and only one anywhere in or around the city. The best price and deal in the entire city. More affordable than most other places to eat. Here you get unlimited, exotic, cultural, healthy, fresh, delicious food all at a steal of a deal! Already one of my favorite places to eat! Some of the dishes look like a piece of art!

Lunch menu ends at 3pm, dinner menu is anytime. One flat cost, all you can eat. I love how the serving sizes are perfect for trying everything on the menu but not get too much at once. Sushi menu had lots of options with plenty of non sushi dishes like tempura, katsu, noodles, rice, sashimi, and more. Everything was delicious and I felt good after eating it. Ginger and wasabi were better than many places. Takoyaki and even the sesame donut were great. You know how some places you eat at can really feel heavy in the body, but here the food made me feel healthier than when I started, which can be difficult to find such places near the city.

Highly recommend their mango salmon, kiss of fire, takoyaki, and ask about the special off menu dishes! I have tried much of their full menu and it is all truly delicious. Many places say that but it is true here.

There is a salad bar with things like kimchi, seaweed salad, and more. Their salmon salad is my absolute favorite! Soups were miso soup and clear (mushroom) soup. Waitress was attentive and provided good recommendations. All Asians working there, so if you like that at an Asian restaurant, there you go.

I will recommend coming here and I will be returning, heck I returned twice in the first week after I discovered this place. Even my friend who does not like sushi and fish liked the other dishes he ate. My favorite part is I like trying many different dishes but not a lot of any one dish, so this place is perfect.

Hopefully their Google Maps, Facebook, and website gets more photos, videos, and information over time. I recommend have your staff when idle take photos, videos, and post information online. Hopefully this place becomes popular, I want to eat here for many years to come. No more eating expensive junk food at other places.

Update: Been here three times since they opened, each time a wonderful and delicious experience. I find myself thinking of this restaurant every time I am looking for a place to eat. They have wifi now so a great place for business luncheons or meetings, even studying. You can order sushi by the piece so you can try many different kinds at once.

Update (May): still eating here, great food, great service, I eat so much yet feel healthier than when I started. Now has boba tea! Peach Oolang tea is highly recommended, I pounded two right away. They keep asking us if we want more food, what restaurant promotes eating as much as possible! God I love this place. They noticed my friend only ate noodles (he only came because I love eating here) so they reduced his bill from buffet to single meal, old school! They are too good to their customers!! Please every customer leave a review, this place earns every perfect review! I look for every opportunity to eat here.

Update (May): Doordashed. Even delivered the dishes are delicious, fresh, and they even included a flower with the sashimi. Highly recommend the sesame donuts (soft and sweet) and salmon skin salad (never had it before, love it!). Large portions. Bags are secured and stapled with numbering so you know how many bags were used. The sauce, I think it is spicy mayo, is so tasty! I recommend this place over similar places like the many local Chinese restaurants (fried rice and noodles are better here).

Update (June): Still love this place! My favorite place to eat in the entire county. I always feel better after eating here. The price is to die for, way cheaper than other places. Any time my friends ask me where I want to eat I always say Royal Sushi!

This reviewer discovered this excellent restaurant and certainly it offers one of the most adventurous of fine dining experience in the Flint area. The ambiance is colorful with a subtle touch of Japanese prints on the walls with soft blues, greens, oranges, and greys. The dining room is spacious and makes for a warm experience. Royal Sushi offers a rather unique 'all-you-can-eat' menu; moreover, the portions are very small; so that, one may order several items from the 94 item menu for luncheon: M-F-11:00-3:00 pm. $17.99; dinner from a 124 item menu - M-F after 3 pm until closing at 8 pm and all day on Saturday and Sunday - 11 am until closing at 8 pm. - $27.99. The luncheon menu offers the following: Sushi bar: Appetizers (3); Sushi: - (13); Roll or Hand Roll - (26); Chef's Special Rolls - (17); Kitchen Appetizers - (13); Soup and Salads - (9); Rice and Noodles - (3) - (served with peanut sauce); Teriyaki - (3); Katsu: - (3); Tempura: - (4); Vegetables - (5). The wait staff is superb especially two servers: Raleigh and Ayden. Both serves know all the menu items and are extremely helpful in making creative suggestions for the basic Sushi beginner. First thing there was a review we saw that said everyone had to order the app you can eat but that's not true I do not ready sushi and i was able to order just the hibachi my wife and daughter had the all u can eat

And it was all delicious we walked in and out was clean, smelled great and service was extremely fast

We were sat down and put waitress came over got our drinks and we ordered our food I got the steak and chicken hibachi and it was so good and OMG so much food way more than saganos. And honestly better tasting. My wife and daughter were able to sit there and order their different types of rolls. Our server was so spot on with service it was crazy. As soon as they were almost done with their food she would come back and all what they wanted to try next. Everyone was fresh, hot and delicious my wife and daughter explained their surprise how good and fresh the good was

The hibachi was amazing and cheaper than saganos and o think 3x more food this was a lunch deal and i can't believe how much food i have left over. The hibachi was hot, veggies were great. It was so much food i think I'll be able to eat 3-4 more times. ( I had bariatric surgery) So that's why i have so much. We are definitely going to be coming back to this restaurant...
