Nell's Fine Consignment — Local services in Calabash

So glad I decided to come read other reviews and to know I'm not the only one who felt this way. My experience at this boutiques has been eating at me for a werk. Let me just get into my experience.... I came in with my mother, sister, and friend. My friend bought a dress Immediately and headed back to the car. The rest of us continued to shop. I already had two items put behind the register for purchase when we were called over by my baby sister to look at a pair of heels. As she was trying then on, my mother spotted a Chanel camera type bag on the top of the shoe shelf, as she reached for it to see the price, we were met by the lady Im assuming is the owner. She in the most snarky, condescending, and rude way burst out "No, uh uh!" I whipped my head around to see who is talking and she is steadily shaking her head no. Shocked and confused, I replied with "excuse me?" And her answer was "don't touch that it's not for sale!" to which I replied " maybe you shouldn't have it out if it isn't for sale and you don't want people to touch it. It looks like it's for sale." Her reply then was, "it's not real and I don't sell fake stuff." Then she proceeds to tell me the heels my sister was trying on are "expensive." Not that it matters, but the sandals my sister had on her feet walking in cost 4x's the fair condition YSL heels she was looking at. Classic case of judgement gone wrong. I still ended up purchasing my two pieces, but instantly regretted it when I left. This women needs a reality check. #1 she let her ignorance misjudge her clientele. #2 Don't have fake merchandise in your store if it's an issue and can't bev touched. After all it is illegal to purchase knocknof merchandise, not that I care, just saying. 2 stars because she had a few cute things and In don't have the heart to give anyone 1 star. I've happily shopped many times at Nells and been pleased however my last 2 trips including today have been intolerable. The staff has been nasty and rude and I even bought something today. A few months ago my sister and I went in and were absolutely sneered st when we asked about an item. The attitude of you can't afford that prevailing. My sister is and was done. Today I am wearing Lilly P . AS I'm standing at the counter and Grant you I should have walked I was asked did I want to try on my item. No thank you. Then I was asked you realize we are a consignment store and there are no returns.I say I am aware as I have shopped here before. Lastly I needed cash ... did I have cash? Then she was 2 cents off and looked over without even an apology demanding 2 more pennies. THAT was my cue to have dropped the dress and moved on.AGAIN THE SMUG YOU CANT AFFORD US ATTITUDE! So beware my friends and interested prospects you will be judged. I work hard for my pay and try to choose wisely where I spend my money. This owner was rude and obnoxious. As I entered the store and was putting on my mask, she ordered me to put on a mask and go wash my hands. As I showed her that I was reaching into my purse for my mask and was headed to the bathroom, I noticed that she did not have a mask on at all! What a hypocrite!!When I asked her about this she stated she can't breathe with one on and as such was not wearing one. Since when is she above anyone else? When do the rules not apply to her? When is her health more important than mine or anyone else's? I politely told her that it was not right and would not be doing business at her establishment. Reminds me of Pretty Woman when Julia Robert's comes back into the store that shunned her, all glammed up, with tons of purchases and says to the rude salespeople..."Big Mistake..Huge". Please shop somewhere else where you will be treated with dignity...
