I visit Establo regularly but never thought to share my experience which is always pleasant.
The street taco's....The best in Camarillo I generally have the asada and chicken taco's. I've had the burritos as well...again excellent.
I also purchase my shoulder beef from Estoblos meat department when I'm doing taco's myself....fresh meat.
Recently I tried the Rib eye steak from the meat department...I kid you not, it must have been 1 1/2 to 2" thick and the flavor...OMG....I went back and purchase several for my freezer.
You know many times someone has to tell you about small places with excellent authentic Mexican food, excellent service and just down home good stuff...Chuy the owner has nailed it... This is one of those places....
You would never think that this little place on the corner of Lewis Road and Ventura Road in Camarillo would be so hugh in quality authentic food and great meats except if you watch the traffic in and out of this place...you can tell.... Its hard to keep a good place a secret.
One other thing....after a long hard days work....I typically swing by for me 2 asada and 1 chicken taco, with chips and a corona....TO DIE FOR!
Also, check out his new place in Thousand Oaks near the Jans mall.
It's obvious....Chuy had to spread the love.....:)
Keep doing what you're doing Chuy...Thanks...
Read moreThe food here is pretty good, it is a Mexican butcher/grocery that also serves food freshly made behind the counter. You order at the front cashier and then go and pick it up behind the butchers glass where they are making food and cutting the meat. They offer very good quality meat here as well, I've gotten some of their pastor, asada, and pollo and threw in on the grill with excellent results. I'm a big fan of their breakfast burritos and their quesadillas, they will put a ton of meat and cheese on them. Their tacos are pretty good as well. I give this place 4 stars because the while food here is pretty good, it's definitely not some of the best Mexican food I've ever had, I feel like it could be better, but it's some of the best you'll find in Camarillo, which isn't really saying much. Good local...
Read moreI found this place with a friend years back, and when we are in the Camarillo area, these AL PASTOR TACOS are a must. I recommend the TACOS, TORTAS OR BURRITOS. It's pretty much what I've had. Make no mistake, it's a CARNICERIA so when it comes to your order, they don't shy away from loading up on whatever meat you order. I mean, you can make an extra 4 TACOS with their portions. Stop by, you won't be disappointed. Pick up some pan dulce for the road. Their bolillos are also good for hot chocolate on a cold day or maybe just for some good old egg sandwiches in the morning! This place is a hole in the wall...AND THE PRICES MAKE IT WORTH IT...
