Fresh Curry Chefs — Restaurant in Camarillo

I’ve always wanted to try this place and I finally have! It is AMAZING! I love how they have a 1 person option for food, and a 2 person option (it’s perfect for sharing). We got the chicken mango curry with white rice and garlic naan (it’s SOOOO good we got more)! And I can truly say, the food is INVIGORATING! It gives you a great sense of energy without feeling that “full, food coma” feeling. Quality food, great price, and cozy little atmosphere. If you’re ever in Camarillo, this is the place to eat.

Some things to know:

Where to park: You can get on Ventura Blvd and make a right after the corner shops into the parking lot. It’s a good sized lot. If it’s full, park across the street where the Transit Center is - plenty of parking & all you do is cross the street!

Pricing: If you go by yourself, the 1 person portions are better. If you go with friends, 2 person option is better (it is a lot of food to be honest, it could have fed 3!)

Atmosphere: Very cozy and small. A good place for a private dinner or small conversation!

Taste: You want more and more to taste! I hardly drank my soda! It was just that good - especially the naan!

This restaurant holds a very special place in my heart. It started with a visit to their restaurant to try some of their delicious food. I was thoroughly impressed with how fresh and tasty their food is! This visit coincided with my wedding planning - and one day it struck me that I'd love for Fresh Curry Chefs to cater dessert for my wedding day.

The team here is AWESOME. Kiran and Yash are the kindest, most genuine, hard working people. They worked closely with us to carefully curate our wedding dessert bar, pick and order dessert packaging that would match our aesthetics, and everything in between. We kept in close contact with them throughout the process, and they always answered any questions we had for them promptly.

And let me tell you, our dessert bar was a HIT! People raved about all the desserts. Our only regret is that we wished we ordered much, much more for our guests!

This restaurant is a treasure. They have only been open for about 6 weeks and the are still getting some of the wrinkles out of the process. My friend and I ordered and she had a rice dish and I Had an Indian version of a lamb burrito. It was absolutely delicious. The service is excellent and friendly. There is a real concern that the clients are happy. The owner came out to talk to us, explaining that the restaurant was new and they were still figuring out exactly how everything should work. What I thought was also good was that I saw other people of Indian ethnicity in the restaurant. To me that was a great sign.
