My daughter celebrated her wedding 7-7-17 at Ragged Point Inn, several miles north of Cambria. Since Ragged Point is rather remote, we wanted a florist fairly close that was familiar with the venue. We met with Kevin months before the wedding and gave him some ideas on our theme, colors and direction. But my daughter didn't really have any clear vision. Kevin was great, sitting down and working with us to write out a plan. About three weeks before the wedding we met again and everything came together. Kevin and his team at Cambria Nursery and Florist created wonderfully unique and personal decorations for the ceremony, wedding party and reception that incorporated my daughter’s ideas and favorite flowers and reflected her beachy theme. It all tied in together and even matched with a rather difficult bridesmaid dress color. They were willing to use some personal decorations that we had purchased for the ceremony space and helped save costs by suggesting using some of the ceremony decor for the reception area. The decorations arrived on time the day of the wedding and complemented the venue's natural beauty. There was some set up required both for the ceremony area and for the wonderful centerpieces. These were all done beautifully and well before the wedding. I am sure their familiarity with Ragged Point and the staff there was a huge asset. We are so thankful for the great job Kevin and Cambria Nursery and Florist did to help make my daughter's coastal wedding the perfectly...
Read moreI remeber the first time I visited this nursery several years ago I really loved it. It's great to stroll through, check out their cute little shops inside etc., but this summer I needed to fill our new landscape at home that was just coming to completion. I came there twice with the intention to buy a good amount of midsize plants. Both times I just happen to speak to the same person who seemed knowledgeable, but basically shot down every plant selection I had carefully researched to be appropriate for our landscape (drought tolerant, native, architectural). They really didn't offer up any good alternatives, nor did I see any alternatives there at the time that I would want to plant in my landscape. I left there each time feeling disappointed and discouraged. Then when I happen to be running to a few of the large hardware store chains in the surrounding areas, I found abundant selection of everything I was looking for and the prices were great. I went ahead and purchased all my plants from these stores and they have been doing great in our landscape! I still like Cambria nursery for a stroll or to pick up cute little succulents and flowers, they also had some beautiful pots I would really like to purchase. It just didn't work out for me when needing to fill a whole new landscape design where architectural, sculptural plant variety and abundance...
Read moreI was very disappointed by this flower shop. The location itself is very nice and everyone who works there was nice; however, what I ordered for my wedding is NOT what was delivered. Most of the flowers look dull, bland, and almost dead. There were no bright colors for the center pieces and the arch flowers did not do what I asked. I was so upset when I saw them I told my photographer I don’t even want any photos of us standing under them unless you can’t see the arch.
After an in-person meeting and an email (with photos) to be incredibly clear about what I was looking for, when the wedding day came and I walked out to see everything I was so upset. I took some time before leaving this review to be sure I wanted to leave negative feedback but I’m still so disappointed by what was delivered and how my photos will look.
Flowers are obviously not the most important part of a wedding or a marriage, but after an in-person meeting AND photos detailing what I was hoping for,...
