Wild Ginger — Local services in Cambria

I wanted to try this place because I was looking to have some good Asian food. This was some of the worst Thai food. I, my son and his wife have ever had. I ordered chicken pad Thai and there wasn't one piece of chicken in it. They include Vegetables that should not be in it. I got the chicken Thai and there was hardly any chicken in it and what chicken was in. It was old and chewy. I literally had to get dental floss to get it out of my teeth. They put brussels sprouts and cauliflower and cucumbers into these dishes that don't belong and some of the vegetables weren't even cooked. My son had random vegetables thrown into his pad, Thai, including whole peppers with the leaves and seeds and all that hadn't even been prepped it was not worth the price paid. The chicken satay were for scrawny little chicken skewers, and their peanut sauce was bland. My son took about four bites and could not finish it. It was so bad. I bought the satay along with three other dishes and pomegranate sorbet and it came to $93 again not worth it. This place is terrible. I do not recommend it at all. The WORSE dining EXPERIENCE on our vacation!!!... 100% the waiter’s fault. Set up was lacking a fork, waiter had other tables, no big deal...we waited. From the moment we sat....completely ignored, not the slightest look at us, or acknowledgement. He continued to take care of business at the other tables...we waited. Fifteen minutes, still no acknowledgement...NO MENUS...we waited. A moment later a couple entered, immediate acknowledgement, water, menus...we WALKED OUT. We are clean, presentable business people, with no idea as to what his issue was with us. THE WORSE DINING EXPERIENCE IN CAMBRIA!!! We read all the reviews, saw what people think of the proprietors, thought let’s do it...never got to try the food. This review is for those looking for more than just one sentence saying “it has vegan options”. Wild Ginger has a daily vegan special and well-labeled vegan items on the menu like an eggplant curry. This set it apart of other spots in Cambria that don’t have any vegan items listed. We had the tofu satay to start. I was expecting skewers but it was served on a bed of sautéed spinach and the sauce was delicious. I had the delicata squash special and my companion had the schezaun tofu. My dish was better, with a flavorful curry sauce and nicely roasted squash that made for a substantial meal. Service was friendly and informed. They have a standard sorbet as the only vegan dessert offering, which never really entices me. Lots of outdoor seating and a pet-friendly patio. Definitely give...
