Cambria Palms Motel — Hotel in Cambria

Filthy, super low budget at expensive rates,||The room was dirty. I had to towel mop the floor I got a piece of glass in my toe. The towels were gray not white they were rough. The reading light had large amount dust the headboard had a grease head mark on it. The bathroom was horrible. The toilet was so close to the bath tub you could barely use it the bathroom light was rusted ||mattress squeaked all night. And the 3 original pillows provided were flat and no good. The grounds are a mess. Be careful where you walk you might fall. They had old trashed furniture towards the backyard near the horrible overgrown fire pit ||I asked for a additional pillow. The clerk did not want to give me one. But finally did under protest||All I can say is this is the worst place I have ever stayed at. Please don’t make the mistake I made. Excellent motel just on the outskirts of town. This is a motel but we still got more than we expected. We only stayed for one night and we got there kinda late (7ish) but we were still treated to a lovely fire in the back yard. As well as offered bikes to cycle into town, though its a 5 minute walk so we walked.

The bed was soft, the room was clean, there were ample pillows and blankets. Its clearly an old building and it reflects this in the bathroom though perfunctory and clean there were none of the usual enhancements you might find in a newer bathroom. The staff were very friendly and informative and told us about the sights we would see the next day on our up coming route. Great pride both locally and in the surrounding county.

The only down point to this motel was the lack of ingredients available to make s'mores. Other than this, a perfect stop off point on...

I called ahead and got a patio. It's not really "private" since you share it with everyone else but it's nice to have. Room was clean and simple. DirecTV is nice. There's no microwave unless you ask but we didn't need it anyway. The fridge is a nice size and the coffee maker works. The furniture looked new and the bathroom is very clean and looks new as well. There's a fire pit out in the patio but it's whoever claims it first, so we never used it. I like that it's in town where everything is, you can even walk to the nearby restaurants in about 5-7 minutes of walking. Plenty of parking at the motel and you can park right in front of your room. We had a nice 3 night stay and for the price you can't beat it. We would definitely come back if we are on a budget and don't want to splurge on...
