9/23 We dined here while staying at Cambria Shores Inn. It's become one of our favorite restaurants. They are dog friendly. Patio seating in the back is great for pets. Our server was as friendly and attentive like our last time. She came by several times to see how we were doing. We felt comfortable and took our time. The lunch was excellent. The portions were generous. We took the extra back to the inn. Prices have not increased surprisingly. This restaurant had great reviews so we gave it a try. We were not disappointed. There is free parallel parking on the street. They are very dog friendly. They seated us and our doggies on the patio and filled our doggy water bowl. It is very pleasant on the wooden patio deck with a small creek. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Miguel the host and bartender was wonderful. He made you feel at home and comfortable. Daniel our server was great. They always came by to see if we needed anything. We ordered the chicken enchilada and the taco salad las carnitas. The portions were very generous. We took some of it home. Food was excellent and very delicious. Really home made. The price was moderate. We will definitely return to try other dishes on our...

We went in on a Friday evening for dinner. 3 of us and it was busy but not crazy. We took a seat outside on the patio with 3 other groups. It was a little cool so they had a cpl heaters going. We saw the waitress at the other tables and after about 20 mins we still had not even got a hello from her. Finally another waiter came to assist and he took our drink order a group of 8 came in and sat down. The waitress finally came over to let us know she was helping the big tables and didn't have time for the small tables. The guy finally came back and took our order and seemed very irritated he had to help. We finally got our food and the big group went in cuz they were cold. The other groups finished paid and left. We were last people out there. The guy that was seating people comes out turns the heaters off and leaves us to be cold. We paid our bill and left zero tip since the service was slow and bad and almost disrespectful. They should have just told us to leave when we arrived so we didn't waste time. The taco I had was ok. Not authentic but ok. Mostly a salad in a shell. Hopefully they...

Really too bad the experience we had because this is clearly a family run place by really nice people. The doors are kept open so the flies are non-stop and aggressive. All the dishes were swimming in cheap, burnt oil. I actually had to send my entire plate back, inedible. 3/4 dishes were served but not my son's. I watched my son's plate later sitting on the pick up counter for a long time untouched, then an argument ensued between our waitress and the cook. The plate went back into the kitchen, and then a while later back onto the counter. Waitress came back a few minutes later, stuck her bare finger into his food to test the temperature and then brought it to the table. Same waitress kindly paid my daughter a compliment, but touched her face in doing so ( like stroked her hair back from her face), it is still covid and I don't know you! Don't ever touch someone's face or food like that. It was just an overwhelming disaster and really ruined my day. We barely touched the 3 remaining plates and still only my dish was taken off the check. Hope this was just a really off...

Like all restaurants in Cambria, Las Cambritas has a charming and welcoming atmosphere. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. He let us choose our seat and attended to our every request! Food prep was a little long, but not the worst. The restaurant interior is simple - nothing too decorative - yet clean and cozy with a beautiful patio. There's also a lot of natural light, which adds to the sunny vibe. Our food was good! Portion sizes could've been bigger since everything was so tasty, but for the price it was acceptable. What's most important is that the food was very FRESH! My mom and I got the chicken tostada, but we each thought it was small, so we also added a chicken taco to our order. Everything was flavorful, crunchy, and zesty. It's very cold in Cambria today, so a warmer dish might have been a good idea. My mom got a mango margarita, but thought it was a little weak ... probably because she got it blended vs. on the rocks.

Great little mexican sit down restaurant to have in Cambria. The food felt authentic and not too much catering to what mexican food is thought to be. I had the Mexican Paella which is a rice dish mixed with shrimp, mussels, chorizo, chicken and a creamy spicy sauce that tasted amazing. I strongly recommend the Paella, it was a little hearty so maybe ask for some sour cream for a little balance, but very very good. The handmade tortillas were to die for, and the table salsa was actually worth digging in to. Portions were very acceptable as my parents had a “Surf and Turf” and the portion of beans, rice and steak to shrimp ratio was perfect, was full afterwards. The atmosphere is subtle but open and the service was attentive and great, overall very solid Mexican sit down restaurant. If there are reviews complaining about service, it was probably very busy, we went in with low-med capacity and were not disappointed!!
