I photographed a wedding at the Multicultural Arts Center in September and instantly fell in love with the space, just like my couple did. The venue is not only visually stunning but also rooted in community and care. Their openness and support of queer couples really meant a lot, and you can feel how thoughtful they are in everything they do. The ceremony took place in the courtyard, which feels like this little hidden oasis right in the heart of Cambridge. There was some preservation work happening on the building exterior that day, but it didn’t impact the experience at all. The surrounding streets and architecture gave us plenty of beautiful backdrops for portraits too. Inside, the main ballroom is unreal. My couple chose it for its theatrical feel and it delivered. The ceiling height alone makes the whole room feel cinematic, and I’ll never forget how stunning the brides looked coming down the staircase. I got to photograph from the balcony, while my partner was on the ground floor, which gave us this incredible perspective during the entrances. The in-house lighting technician was generous with their time and genuinely collaborative. We had a quick conversation during the venue tour and again before the reception and were able to walk through everything together so that the lighting could complement each part of the day. It made such a difference in how everything came through on film. This is a venue I’d return to in a heartbeat. xoxo - Dominique ( and Javi ) Castillo Holliday...

I will update with a picture of our ceremony when I get it because it was beautiful!
10/10 if I had to get married again I'd go to the courthouse (personal family stuff) but I defiantly don't regret my...
