Currently there is only one review at 2 stars, which plagues this new location's Google page and has compelled me to take action and review my newfound favorite pasta place. TLDR: This is the best value fresh pasta you will find in the Boston-area (besides their other location in Faneuil Hall) and worth going out of your way to visit (as opposed to needing to eat between shopping).
I stumbled upon DalMoros on a recent visit to the CambridgeSide Mall and noticed it immediately within the newly revitalized food court. Fresh, handmade pasta offered quickly, conveniently, and affordably?? I ordered the Rigatoni Mortadella and my order came out after about ~10 minutes (there were a couple other orders ahead of me), so it's incredibly quick. I had questions about the different pasta shapes and the employee at the counter was friendly and patient -- they probably receive tons of questions as a new location. I was blown away. The pasta was perfectly chewy and al dente, clearly fresh as they are making the pasta in front of the business, and I was OBSESSED with the mortadella sauce. So creamy, yet light, I gobbled the whole thing up in the convenient take-out containers that allow you to eat immediately or take it to-go. The portions are generous; I was very hungry and can eat a lot, and I was very full by the end.
I can't stop singing praises of this place. I went back again a week later and brought a friend. We bought extras to-go. Where else in the Boston area can you find a huge portion of fresh pasta for $15, not to mention no waiting for a table or even so much as a wait for the food?? Try this place and you won't regret it. I will be taking it upon myself to visit regularly so they don't ever think of closing down. If you take a look around the food court, you'll see that they're dominating, as most tables are eating DalMoro's, but none of those folks have thought of leaving a review here so far.
If I could leave some constructive feedback: the breadstick was average at best and we wouldn't order it again; kind of dry and flavorless. Also, the tiramisu is ridiculously tiny for $5 -- we enjoyed it but felt it was way too small for value as it's basically a large sauce ramekin. We joked that they're making up for the lost revenue from serving such generous...
Read moreI heard about this new fresh pasta place that opened up in CambridgeSide Galleria through a friend and on social media. It looked super promising and did not disappoint! There were 4 pasta shape options and 10 sauces. Some were staples and some were seasonal so it’s good to see that they provide variety throughout the year. The pasta was perfectly chewy and al dente. I went with my friend and by the time we found a seat our pasta was prepared!
We got the Fusilli pasta with the Amatriciana sauce and the Rigatoni pasta with the Mortadella sauce (the FAVORITE). The Amatriciana was a good standard tomato sauce with pancetta. The mortadella was a light cream based sauce that had subtle pistachio and black truffle flavors with mortadella on top. The combination of the fresh pasta and the homemade sauce was wonderful! Not to mention the incredible value. If you want fresh pasta in the Boston area, it’ll run you over $20. Whereas DalMoros was a generous portion for about $15. I also really like the container thy serve the pasta in because it’s easy to eat out of and easy to pack up and take any leftovers home if you have any. My friend and I didn’t and actually ended up buying more to enjoy the next day!
Service was pleasant and super fast. My friend and I had questions about the seasonal sauces and which specific pasta was being displayed on the slideshow playing on the screen and the employees were helpful and patient.
It was also nice to see veggie, vegan, and gluten friendly selections for anyone looking for options!
We also got the garlic bread to try and that wasn’t anything too special but it’s fine. The tiramisu was tasty, but for the price tag of $5 it felt a little expensive for the value.
TLDR: tasty, convenient, good-value fresh pasta to enjoy while shopping or just stop in specifically for this! I’m looking forward to returning and trying out the...
Read moreComes in a Chinese food box.
Cold on the top, warm in the middle then steaming hot in the bottom.
Taste: basic, plain sauce.
Texture of fresh made pasta in between ardente and chewy.
I added meatballs and they don’t taste like beef plain with a hint of oregano. I ordered a mozzarella topping with basil it was so cold that the mixture of temperatures makes the experience unappealing. I wouldn’t order here again.
To be honest I’d like my money back. For the price I would have rather had McDonald that taste better with money left over.
I cannot eat these meatballs. They didn’t have a cup either ice for my drink. No straws and the bottle is like warm with a tiny hint of I’m make believing I’m cold.
This kid had an attitude tone responce because I was asking if they can grill the meatballs to cook them more and he snapped with “We don’t have no grill and they are premade. “ I can tell they were cold and weird. I asked if they can warm them up bla bla. So I got cold meatballs cold topping and steaming hot noodles at the bottom of this plate.
Good for who ever likes the food. Hopefully the business booms but hungry picky customers this review is for you.
Stars are for the nice young lady at the register. She had patience, good etiquette and a good attitude.
To the personal that responded to my review: If all you want to discuss are the temperatures and meatballs and disregard my opinion and experiences validity as a whole, trust me it doesn’t change the truth or support your business. Your comment is a perfect display of the attitude I experienced while ordering. The meat balls were also cold. I asked for them to be heated but I’m sure you know the math to...
