I purchased a fur coat here, when I got home I realized it had a stain. I returned a month later asked if they could recommend a furrier since there is a "no returns" policy. Matthew proceeded to berate me and tell me it was my fault for not looking first and tell me how I needed to be a better customer and not buy stained items. I mean, what?! I asked him again for a recommendation and he got so upset and yelled at me and another customer in the store left, as did I and my companion. I called repeatedly asking to speak to a manager but always the same man answered, no manager was ever available, I assume this was Matthew. My last resort is to message them on Instagram. I make a comment, they ask me for a direct message, and then ignore me for weeks. I finally bombard them with comments and after MONTHS of trying to get in touch someone responds. They then defend Matthew's behavior, tell me they won't give a refund, accuse me of making up the whole scenario, and tell me to not harass them. UNREAL!
So I guess if you make a purchase and leave quietly, you get good service. Should you have a question (and again, I never requested a refund) you will be ignored and berated....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhile most vintage stores focus on the 40s 50s and 60s, it seems that Raspberry Beret specializes in the all-together funky and unique. Comb the rows of fun jackets, pants, scarves, hats and jewelry from the later decades (70s 80s and 90s). On several occasions I've found great pieces that are easy to work into an otherwise modern wardrobe. Plus, there's a good selection of larger plus sizes (at least more than I've found than in other vintage and consignment stores in Cambridge). Also, if you're looking for a fun event idea, this shop does private events for birthday, bachelorette parties, etc where you can get a discount based on the number of people in your party. If you bring in 10 people, you get 10% off and if its 20 people you get 20% off, etc....

Come here for vintage and modern consignment shopping at pretty reasonable prices. Everything from coats to dresses to belts and jewelry, and maybe something a little in between. It's a great place to stop if you're shopping along Mass Ave between Porter & Harvard squares in Cambridge.
Also! Apparently you can host shopping parties there, and based on how many guests you pack into the store, all guests receive a discount. It would be a cool idea for a lower-key bachelorette party or girls' night out, if you're into that...
