Giant Eagle Supermarket — Local services in Canton

Due to the location, if it's the 1st week of the month, you will find MANY MANY areas stipped BARE. And if it's Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - it's a crapshoot if you can still get ANY of the sale items- in particular things that are 2-fers or such - like 2/$8, 3/$10 - as these get pillaged before the new ad starts, and it is apparent ( as someone who has shopped here for 7years)- that they do not restock these sale items until the new ad starts. So what's there at the beginning of the ad sale- IS GENERALLY ALL THERE IS GOING TO BE. My assessments conveyed in this review are from shopping here every week/10days for years, so know I have acquired a decent amount of observation.

Also, 'wet wall' produce items are frequently limited and quality does vary..due to being priced higher than the Walmart Superstore next door. Also, high ticket 'more luxury' seafoods and meats only ever have a small/modest quantity in comparison- understandably- but the few there are, are very nice-1st come-best choice. Don't overlook the upright case to the right of the Seafood/meat counter!- I have found great seafood sale items that SHOULD be in the well next to the others like it, are sometimes stashed in here- it almost seems on purpose to confuse you so you error-buy the higher priced look alike in the well... WATCH YOUR SALE TAGS CLOSE FOLKS!- this is on EVERYTHING!- Also READ THE 'Good thru' date on these shelf tags-- not a week goes by I don't get excited over a deal, grab the item, then when scanned we'd have to go thru the 'Hey WAIT!'- BUT! They DO have a ridiculously stocked adult beverage selection! Fancy cheeses and some eithic/religious angled foods by the deli are a nice selection! And the deli/ prepared foods are on a busy turnover during the day- so that's a huge perk for many ppl!😃-but although the 'grab n go' pre-made 'lunch/dinner' containers are a fantastic selection..you WILL be paying for that convenience- sooo time value there. The bakery is quite busy during the day- but that also has a turnover, so freshness is pretty good. SURPRISINGLY they have a small,, but TRULY TRULY NICE floral department!- I have ALWAYS found the flowers to be AMAZING and a pretty huge and HEALTHY selection as far as a store department. IF YOU NEEDS NICE FLOWERS QUICK- I recommend it!

As far as checkout time- oh you are always gonna wait in line. Also due to the location, the self checkouts..well..I do not know if they are EVER opened but I haven't seen them open from 11am to afternoon/evening in YEARS. Just 2 days ago I was there at noon with lines of people & 2 checkouts open. This anxious lady, certainly not from here, was panicked in disbelief there were no self checkouts or express lanes& she was on a lunch food run time crunch. I did let her go ahead of me, but she was utterly agasp about the checkout issues.. Evening clerks at this time (Feb / March'23) pretty much hate their life. But let's just be glad there ARE clerks. Unfortunately, I'm new to this particular area. I was went to this location SOLELY on Giant Eagle's reputation, and the Pittsburgh, and Allegheny County.

Sanitary & Sterilizing are completely ABSENT. The complete environment is a safety & health fail. The Health Department of Stark County should be fired, IF he was aware of the multiple violations. From the side of the building closest to the bank where their trash is disposed, to the public refrigerated meats at the very back of the store.

Please see the photo of the 1/4 slice of a watermelon, I am very aware of INFLATION, However this same exact item, weight, and description I have purchased in a Pittsburgh location for $2.12. The $6.00 sticker price I almost fainted.

I tried to place a delivery order to my location, like I have done since the year 2020. After navigating the app, which is never quite that easy until you chose the same store your previous items are saved. I tried choosing 4 different stores & NOT ONE WOULD DELIVER TO MY ADDRESS. Call customer support, she personally called 6 more as far away as Kent area, ALL of the stores would NOT deliver to (ME) , due to the area I live. I 'm insulated on a level that is a CIVIL RIGHTS VIOLATION. All of my previous orders, DELIVERY, or In Store has CREDIBILITY & AUTHENTICITY.

IF this area that this particular location would loose their liscense to Sell Liquor, NOT Beer & Wine. I believe CORPORATE GIANT EAGLE SHOULD CLOSE THE LOCATION. I can give a credible opinion should...

it is very nice store the same field work there for years the pharmacy people are great once you get to know them they help you out very well Kelly is a great pharmacist and Mike used to be very friendly person but he's kind of standoffish now I don't know what's going on with him but anyways other than that the store is clean nice and neat the prices are over-priced and we just wait for coffee to go on sale. I can only imagine how much do drugs cost there are they no marking down how much they cost so you never know I try to compare the prices but you can't because they don't put the price down and I also anyway they're very nice people thesaurus clean very courteous and they get you in and out of car as possible and it's clean place but I still don't understand the new fifty one thing and they're the one that got me I have no Wi-Fi in their store in Lewisville and so how do you expect me to work at you know I don't understand I don't anyway this little priced and it's just hard going to the store because the price has it really is but other than that it's a good place nice place to shop friendly people nice atmosphere and the drug store is very efficient and gets right all the time if not they will let you know they communicate with you and treat you like a person it's really good I thank you all who work there and I do think all the pharmacist Al for putting...
