UPDATE 11-14-18 After 4 months of this, they NEVER called back about the trim piece they broke and said they would order. After getting the quote they requested I get to have my door fixed where they messed it up, they NEVER called. I called and left Jay a message that was NEVER returned. I’ve given them 5 Stars for two reasons. 1st Because all of the low ratings seem to get pushed down by Google. If you look they have a great rating but it’s all based on sales, nearly all service reviews are 1 Star.
2nd because the problem is finally fixed. I traded it for a Toyota.
UPDATE 9-13-18 Back down to one star. It’s been four weeks since I was at the Dealership, found where they messed up my door and took it to the body shop they asked me too. I haven’t heard a word from the Service guy who said he would set up an appointment to get the car fixed and get me a car to drive in the mean time... I’m sure the body shop is busy and can’t do it right away but they could call and say as much. Not sure if they’re hoping I will forget about it or what. Does little to restore any confidence in the service department. UPDATE 8-21-18 I am improving my rating because after I wrote this original review the Service Manager called the next day apologizing for the delays. However before leaving I noticed that when they took my doors off they had dented and scratched the drivers side door with the device they use to lift it off. It had even torn off the stripe decal. I immediately went back in and got the service guy who took pictures and sent me to a local body shop, Champion Collision. He told me to get an estimate and have them contact him, he would set up a date and get me a vehicle to drive while they fix it. I took it straight over there and got the quote which he emailed to my Service Writer. I will update again when I hear back and it’s fixed. (8-13-18)I have bought multiple vehicles here over the years with nothing but good experiences with the sales dept. This is the first time I’ve needed to use their service department and it has been a hassle. I took it in for the AC in June where they replaced the compressor. Two weeks later it stopped working so I took it back. After a week where they hadn’t looked at it I had to take it back because as I told them it was my only vehicle. I brought it back and left it, three days later I get a call saying that the guy who started work on my car was on vacation for another week and a half and that the other employees didn’t want to work on it. If I needed my car I would need to call the service manager and see if he can get something done. I called him and explained this was my only vehicle and he assured he would look into it. I get a call the next day (Tuesday) saying they’ve ordered parts to replace the evaporator and I should have it by the weekend. I wait until Wednesday of the next week to call ,since I’ve not heard anything in a week, to find out the parts haven’t come in for some reason. Thursday they call to tell me the part is in and it will be done by Friday. Friday comes and goes and I hear nothing. I have to call to find out the mechanic working on it cut his finger bad. I hope he is ok, but here I am three weeks in (four if you count the week they had it before I took it back) bumming rides to work etc.. and now my car is half assembled and I have to wait for another mecahnic to work it in his schedule. I understand that things happen and feel I have been more than patient but they have not communicated with me at all. I’ve had to call to find out what was going on and they have no concern that I am without a vehicle. This is all warranty work and they never once offered a loaner or anything. Moving forward if this is the only option for service my next car will...
Read moreBought two commercial vans from here, with our family having bought many vehicles from here, always good people. They were quick to sell them and mostly everyone is extremely helpful. Our most recent purchase has shown that some corners were cut to get the van out quickly. We were quite clear to our sales rep that we were in no rush to get the van to prioritize the touch-ups, repairs, and fully clean the result has been less than adequate. We should've known something was wrong when the sales rep told us the van was completely ready and filled up to go. The van was wiped down quickly and the tank was on empty, even though the rep said he had filled it up himself. Such a weird thing to lie about. No matter. His attitude suggested he'd rather do anything else than fill up. He had us meet him at the gas station so we could leave from there "quickly", according to him. Another red flag, but we had bought from him before so we thought nothing of it. An oversight on his end, which is acceptable. A few days later, we returned for items missed, and the van was returned "completed." Nope. Multiple returns has resulted in quick fixes and poor workmanship. Our windshield went from leaking to the top of the engine to water getting inside the van. Our other van (bought from here) was also down with engine issues, and multiple trips resulted in no answers or action, except to go somewhere else. We did and we're taken care of promptly and professionally. On top of assurances that the windshield has "warranty" our sales rep has failed to provide timely communication and were now going into week 3 of no communication or call, despite my multiple attempts to reach him via phone or text. Something this small should have been taken care of in a timely manner, and I'm relieved to not have anything major going on. Our experience in the past has always been a 5/5, but our experience now, for commercial vehicles at least, has been let down to the quality we've gotten used to here. All of this could have been avoided if our sales rep had actively listened to our requests of touch up and repair prior to selling. We even told him to please take his time in doing so, so that the van would be good to go in all aspects. To other construction contractors considering buying here, I would suggest looking else where, such as Parks Ford in Hendersonville or Highland Van and Truck in Fairview. Having your vehicle out of service, or having to make fruitless trips means you're losing time which translates to money. Take your money and business somewhere else where corners won't be cut and sales reps/team respond in a...
Read moreI traded my 2016 Nissan Frontier for a 2019 F-150 XLT this past Monday. My experience could not have been better. It began with my online experience. Since I work retail and my time is limited, it was necessary for me to do a lot of shopping on line. I went to the Ken Wilson web site, because of the recommendation of a friend who has made multiple purchases with Ken Wilson. The online experience was good and they put a salesperson in contact with me. My salesperson, Dorvan Farmer contacted me and by asking some qualifying questions, he and I together determined the model/package that would best suit my desires. We scheduled an evening appointment. Unfortunately, I was running late and had decided not to make the drive from Sylva to Canton; however Dorvan called me and said that he would be willing to wait for me to get there even though that would require him working past closing time. I arrived to Ken Wilson and Dorvan was outside waiting on me. He worked very hard to show me multiple F-150's. He literally was running back and forth between me, trucks and the sales floor. Once I had determined the truck I wanted, I gave Dorvan some specific expectations that needed to be met in order for me to be willing to make a deal. Dorvan worked with his sales manager, Hugh Yarborough and they together came to the perfect deal for me. They gave me a great price on the truck I purchased (I know this because I had shopped other dealerships a whole lot); and they gave me more for my trade than any other dealership had offered me. The next step was finance. I told Dorvan and Hugh that I would not go over a certain percentage rate on financing. They worked with the finance manager, Bill Roland and actually got my interest rate lower than I requested! From start to finish, this was a great experience for me. I would highly recommend Dorvan Farmer, Hugh Yarborough and Bill Roland to anyone that is seriously considering the purchase of a new Ford or a good quality...
