The day started with enthusiasm. We had all arranged our schedules, stepped out of the house earlier than our personalities prefer, and arrived at the meeting point right on time. The plan was simple: a pleasant cruise on the casino ship, a little entertainment, maybe a small adventure.
Instead, the only adventure was figuring out why the entire outing dissolved like sugar in hot coffee. At 10 a.m., just as everyone was ready, we received the announcement that the trip was cancelled. Weather issues. Understandable, of course, but surprising that this revelation appeared only after tanks were half empty and the morning was already invested.
The whole affair reminded me of quietly slipping a small bill into a machine that gives you nothing back. Not dramatic. Just slightly absurd.

And when you call to ask what on earth happened, you get the classic phone routine: no explanation, just a cheerful suggestion to book a new date. Easy for them. Their paycheck is relaxing somewhere. Ours financed the gas, the wasted hours and the...
Read moreI am genuinely disappointed, and I am trying to express this as respectfully as possible. I received a complimentary ticket, which I could not use because the ride was cancelled. That can happen, and I understand that. What I hoped for was the chance to redeem the ticket at a later date. Unfortunately, that seems impossible because the ticket is no longer valid.
I called to clarify this and was told someone would get back to me. That never happened. And this is exactly the problem: many reviews here are answered in a very professional tone — but if nothing actually changes behind the scenes, then kind words alone do not help. Good customer service has to be lived, not just...
