Got to the establishment sketchy parking...went in didnt have an opening my boyfriend went ahead and paid for us an 8:00 time to do an escape room. We arrived back about 15 minutes early we can hear the game master over the speaker talking to the gamers in the escape rooms giving hints and cutting up with them. We wait for another 10 minutes after our booked time (no big deal) then we get into the room the clues made no sense you literally HAD to ask for a hint. Me and my boyfriend proceeded to do the room we could hear the game master talking on her phone not paying any attention to us not giving us no where near the attention she gave the other gamers not to mention by the time we had 10 minutes left we where aggravated we could hear the game master talking on her phone laughing cutting up so we decided to just go ahead and leave as we was leaving the "escape room" the game master wants to act interested and tries to call the room after we have left it bc she wasn't paying attention while she was in a room full of cameras just watching us tried to play it off and ask us if we wanted to take pics infront of the banner bc really we had figured it out. Smh. We will not ever go there again nor recommend...
Read moreMediocre is the best word to describe it. I attended an Escape Room in St. Charles a few weeks prior that was much better. We thought we were going to Pirates Cove, but were told when we got there that doesn't exist anymore and put us in the "CSI" room. The clues inside the room had no "flow" to them and the whole thing seemed thrown together. They kept trying to give us clues over the walkie without us asking for them. However, I see it difficult for a group to finish this room without their help as some clues don't make sense. I won't say what it was as not to spoil it, but there was an action you need to take toward the end where everyone in the room looked at each other and thought "this is pretty pointless". After we completed the room, we were told something like they took 10 minutes off our our clock because we did so well and that they were going to give us money back or something, but they took our picture and then left the front desk area so that didn't happen. In summary, I would not recommend...
Read moreThis was my first escape room, but everyone else in our group had done them before. I was nervous about feeling locked in, but once we got started, I didn't think about it anymore. (And they don't actually lock you in, which eased my mind.)
Our group had come to Cape Girardeau for lunch and to go to a safari place, but they were closed. So at the gas station we Googled "family activities around me," and this popped up!
We called and Jenny was amazing to get our party in so quickly. Four adults and one pre-teen. And we ALL had a blast! Jenny was great! She explained everything well and gave us some great clues when we needed to move our game progress forward.
My husband and I drove over and hour to meet our friends, who drove two hours from the other side of Cape and we've decided we will do it again, coming back to play another game.
The room we played was bank heist, and we won with 12 minutes to spare!!! Next time we want to try the Sherlock Holmes one.
Thank you, Jenny for just a...
