Dollar General — Local services in Cape Girardeau

This store is in a great location! That way you don't have to run all the way across town for basic household items. Another thing is its Roomy, plenty of space in the middle row and there are actually products on the shelves, not stacked up on racks Everywhere just waiting to get restocked. That makes me crazy when I go into the one in my hometown and you spend most of your time trying to either maneuver around the racks full of stock or you have to find a idle that you can even Go down. But what made me give this store a 5 start rating was I was greeted in a very friendly manner before I even got all the way in by the female worker (@aprox 3:50) & by the time I was checking out with my 5 yrs old grandson around 4:30-5:00) cause we spent a lot of time on Christmas clearance and the toy isle! Whew, the young man who had just taken over at register (for the aforementioned young lady), was so helpful and accommodating and extremely Nice Also! Psst....Benton is hiring! Lol, come...

I'm sad to say this but sense they lost there last two mangers this place has gone really downhill!! I have to walk everywhere and sense this place is right by my home it's very convenient for me! Everytime I come here they never have anything it seems! I can't never even find pink lided milk or cat litter deodorant powder EVER! I have to walk across town to get both of them! Also I went in there the other day for cat litter and they had to gigantic cart's blocking all the cat litter so I had to reach around both of them because they were too heavy to move and it was rough!! Please hire More staff and keep things restocked! I don't want to have to stop...

This particular store was a huge disappointment. It was poorly laid out with barely room to navigate. On top of that there were racks of cardboard, etc in the way in at least 3 places. I wanted to give up and leave, maybe I should have as the cashier was not at all personable, not mean but not much else either. And he was not busy so that wasn't it. I don't think you could pay me to go in there again, I would have to...
