The Mattress Guys — Local services in Cape Girardeau

Started out great! Had plans to shop all over town for a mattress, but went here first and found a mattress, box spring, and a bed that we loved, even got a free $70 pillow because we had bought so much. She tells us mattress and box spring were already on their way-should be there in a few days-and the bed would take no longer than 10 day-okay, cool! Even said she'd deliver the bed separate for free ($50 delivery fee) so we wouldn't have to wait for the mattress and box spring once it comes in. Two weeks later (a few days, huh?) we finally get our mattress and box spring, and the wrong box springs were delivered. We had ordered metal and they brought wood. Okay, whatever, we agreed to use them until the bed came in, and then he would switch them out. Not a big deal, except that the delivery guy tells us it's going to be another 6 weeks for the bed to come in!! We had to hear it from the delivery guy, not the lady we ordered from. Not cool. So 6 weeks roll around, and I call to check on it, the lady was quite rude. Finally get a text saying it would be on the truck Monday....it wasn't....and it would take another 3-4 weeks to get the bed. The lady who runs the store acted like she could care less about our wait because it wasn't her fault-which it wasn't-but she has a business to run, a little sympathy would have been appreciated. We bought $1100 bed, and she offered to take $50 off the price once it come in (but would it had ever come in if we would have waited??) The manager finally called and was going out of his way to make it right, even offered a loan bed until ours come in. He's the reason I'm even giving it 3 stars! He seems to care about his customers, she does not. We ended up getting a refund for the bed, and are still currently waiting for the box springs that we ordered, supposed to be...

My husband and I have horror stories over mattresses!! LOVE the manager, she went above and beyond to help us with a high dollar mattress that was under warranty and Ashley Furniture in Poplar Bluff wouldn't honor our warranty. When I say nightmare, I sincerely mean nightmare! Tons of money that was spent to try for a good night sleep! Jami not only stepped up and reached out to the manufacturer, she notified me that our set would be honored and to come pick out a set or wait for equivalent value in return. Reason being we bought an entire set for our king bed and for the first time in years I actually got 6 hours of sleep without waking up. I would highly recommend The Mattress Guys. Thank you Jami for your help and effort for turning our nightmare...

Been looking for a decent plush mattress. Found one at mattress guys we liked. the price was 989.99 no big deal the gave us 40.00 off so final price 948.99 ok cool. Ask about if we don't like it what about returns. He said we have to by there mattress cover for 60.00 so we did. Get home the mattress cover is crap thin material. Which you can get anywhere for 10 - 15 im sure but what ever i fell cheated there. So went in today to see about a box spring. The same mattress was 938.99. So what got me was they raise there prices and tell you its a memorial day sale and charge you more than the original price. The guy said thats been the price which was a lie. Anyways luckily we like the mattress or i would return...
